It was my uro who I have been seeing for Peyronie's who on Tuesday diagnosed me with a very inflamed prostate and prescribed Bactrim - an antibiotic to treat bacterial prostatitis. If the inflammation of the prostate is due to peyronie's then obviously the antibiotic isn't going to do anything for me.

My Peyronies journey started with prostatitis. I was on Cipro for a month and it cleared up somewhat but the pain still lingered. It was then that the curvature kicked in and I knew it was Peyronies. I don't think there was a link between the two, but I do wonder if what I/Dr's thought was prostatitis was actually the start of Peyronies. My experience with two doctors is that they treat the symptoms and if there is no curvature then they treat for prostatitis and not Peyronies - though it doesn't seem they have much to offer in ways of "treating" Peyronies. Only when the curvature starts do they say Peyronies.

I wanted to ask the forum if someone experienced slow urine flow that is related to Peyronie's.
In my last visit to the uro, my prostate size was normal in the ultra -sound (I had TUNA three years ago to reduce the size, not cancerous) and my bladder empty from stones.
Three months ago an other uro said that my urinating problems are because I have a lot of stones in the bladder. He wanted to blow them up with laser, I had them melted and out with Chinese herbal medicines.
Today my urine flow and the urgency to pee is not far from as it was before the TUNA. Can Peyronie's cause the urine flow problem?
I will visit my uro in two weeks, but I will appreciate input from the forum before I will meet him.

I haven't the slightest idea if Peyronies causes slow Urine flow. But I have Peyronies curvature and I had slow urine flow. Slow urine flow is generally caused by an enlarged prostate. I have an enlarged prostate. My PSA was 3.2 May 2010 and I was complaining to my Uro of slow flow.
He put me on AVODART .5 mg daily starting Oct 2010. ( Dutasteride).
April 1/11 my PSA was reduced to 1.8 and my urine flow was greatly improved.
Perhaps you will find this helpful James.

I have had major problems with slow urine flow.  In my case the cause has been diagnosed as idiopathic urethral inflammation.  Lab testing has confirmed this with no detection of pathogens BUT detection of significant tissue particles associated with inflammatory processes.  I see this in my case as a parallel to Peyronie's itself.

I was having a problem with urine flow and went to Dr. Milam last August for a cystoscopy.  The results were I had an over active bladder even though my urine flow was weak.

I had 2 TUPR's in the mid 1990's. I was sure I needed another until the cystoscopy. He put me on enablex and problems solved.

While we were talking later Dr. Milam told me he only does the TURP that the damage from a TUNA can cause additional scar tissue problems later.

Thanks for the answers. I will be better informed when I will meet my uro.
Regarding the TUNA, it was not Laser, it was heating the prostate with low radio frequency and because of the heating the prostate shrinking.
Thinking back, maybe I had no enlarged prostate as the doctor (not the actual doctor I will see) told me 3 years ago (he never show me the ultra sound). Also 4 month ago he told me that he must urgently broke the stones I have in the bladder with Laser via the penis to solve the slow urine flow problem. I don't have now stones in the bladder, but the urine problem persists so I am happy I didn't made this Laser.
