I am  a 53 yo and this has all hit me like a train!

I had what I believed a prostate issue with hesitancy and frequent urination urges..... I'm in my 50's so went to get checked out.

I also had an uncomfortable burning in my penis glans and tip at times when needing to urinate or with a full bowel. The pain is not there when urinating and is very minor following only to build as my need returns.

The prostate exam and PSA showed no abnormalities and my GP could not advise what was causing the penis pain. I subsequently got an STD screen that was negative....

Then BANG one morning my erection has a 45 degree upward bend about 2 cm below the glans

I am sourcing an appointment with a urologist but it looks like I could well be in the club.

Is this pain that is getting more acute the pain or sensation usually associated with Peyronies? Or is this possibly another issue?

I realise that I need a professional diagnosis but this physical change has really rocked me.

Thanks for any feedback

Man I feel for you. I was super fit when this thing happened to me, woke up one morning with a 30 degree dorsal bend (on top) and with pain, WTF!
For me it was pain that was the most debilitating thing, it sometimes made me bedridden, it certainly fits with a peyronie's diagnosis but it is good that you are seeking professional diagnosis. No one would even wish on their worst enemy peyronie's, initially it really f'^+'ed me up big time and the thing is peyronie's seems to have many manifestations of severity and symptoms,

At least yuo have joined our forum, and that's the (hopefully) first step on dealing with this crap.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

I think you're being admirably restrained there in your choice of words about it !!    :D

Unfortunately, as others have said, there almost certainly sounds to be a case of Peyronies in there.

How about getting on the non-prescription supporting supplements as soon as you can whiie you wait for the Uro appt ?

Go: Ubiquinol 100mg 3x per day, Magnesium Chloride tabs 500mg 3x per day, Astaxanthin 3x 4mg per day, Acetyl-L-Carnitine 3 x 500mg capsules per day

You may know that in the UK you can get Cialis through online pharmacies without prescription (eg MedExpress). Take one 2.5mg tab a couple of hours before bed each night.

Combine all that with Traction or VED. If you have no dents or hourglass, perhaps start with Traction (full board of info on here) using a quality suction-cup based device like PeniMaster Pro. Lots of knowledge on here about that device.

When you see your Uro, or if you have any other means of getting a prescription (the non-prescription offshore pharmacy import door has now been closed in the UK) make sure you get on Pentoxyfylline (Pentox) tabs 400mg 3x per day as soon as you can. Don't take no for an answer on this one, apart from other potential benefits, it seems to help many with the pain / ache

All the best

How long after the burning sensation during urinating did the bend occur? I noticed the same thing.

Hi, your story sounds so familiar, i was just the same, 3am one morning over 3 years ago now, was woken up with pain in my penis, WHAM acute bend to left and painful when erect, the pain lasted for about 3 weeks when i was erect, reading up that doctors don't do anything for a year or so, my thought's where it may go away, i did get my bend down to about 50 degs, still not enough to enjoy sex, so of to doctors i go, same old crap, blood test, urine test, blood pressure tests, finger up bum tests, even a heart test, it was my 4th doctor that actually examined my penis, she booked into to see our URO at local hospital, again all the test, but she put me a VED course straight away, say try this for 4 months, before we think of surgery, OMG not have that i thought, anyway that's enough, the use of the VED helped me get my penis straight again after 18 weeks.
