I am on my 3rd session of VED as per the protocol and I am getting aching again. I am lubing and warming up. Is it possible because my cylinder is too wide for my girth and I am pressing too hard on something? It's similar to a ball ache like last time, but not as painful. Or should I press lighter on the cylinder against my skin and use more lube? There is about an inch of room on either side of my penis when it is in the cylinder. I'm going to hold off for a few days till the ache subsides again (took about a week last time but was more painful) and then maybe look into a smaller vacuum based on some of your recs.

I know that I did differently...the rubber seal...I pulled it higher onto the tube that the other times and that released more suction onto the actual base...I think.

Should it be on like this? It was loose before? Love that the aching is increasing with time. Yessssss.

Oh, I heard that was s reasonably priced option.  Are others also having difficulty w it?

When I first started using VED I tried pumping from complete flaccid as per the protocol. I had similar aches and pains.

I now give myself a semi erection prior pumping. Not had any pain following pumping in over a year now. I also rarely use VED two days in a row, which may play a part.

right so that's my question...is it a cylinder thing?

I had exactly your symptoms trying to complete the Forum 3 cylinder (Augusta) Protocol and had to stop. The symptoms took about 4 weeks to go after stopping VED completely. I tried to complete the Protocol twice and got about half way through each time before having to stop due to these exact symptoms. I decided stopping was the safest course of action rather than trying to work through it. These symptoms were also building in intensity which, to me, was another signal to stop completely.

Still believing in the VED concept, I started again, just using the Med size cylinder (about 0.5-1.0cms each side after inflation. Variance due to dents) alone (with the smaller seal insert). I didn't have any facts to go on, it was just an instinct.

I heat before VED as well, I always have. I also heat the cylinder and the lube.

So, I now use the one Med cylinder and use a Protocol that was used at UCLH and given to me by Dr Raheem. It is 30 seconds inflate and 30 seconds rest. Repeat 10x per treatment session.

Another thing that is not so obvious when you first start is, the speed of inflation and deflation when pumping. It is easy to quite quickly pump up without thinking. The way it occurred to me, and a good way to implement it is ..... think very carefully about the speed you would get a natural erection and then the speed it deflates. It then seems obvious what speed to pump at using much smaller movements of the pump handle. I deflate more slowly by very gently pressing the pressure vent button to avoid the penis suddenly deflating from the stretch. Yes, it elongates the VED treatment time and it seems a bit more tedious but I do feel it should be done this way. I brought this up with my Uro and he agreed.

I also did not immediately start with 10 repetitions in each treatment. I started with 5 and worked up by one repetition per week to get to 10 repetitions per treatment per day. The UCLH protocol actually states 2 treatments per day i.e. 1x10 in the morning and 1x10 at night.

I am currently doing one treatment per day most days and have been doing for about 3 months. I have none of the previous symptoms........ so far

I also take 2 Pentox 400mg per day and 1 x 2.5mg Cialis at night

I stopped pressing so hard on the tube with a downward force and used more lube instead. This stopped my problem. I think I was putting too much force on whatever runs down that area.
