Why no sex/masturbation for certain periods during the Xiaflex series?

I'm in the second round now.  Literature and my Dr all say no sexual activity at all between the 1st & 2nd shots of a series (that's easy...ouch) and nothing for two weeks after the 2nd.  I'm cool with abstaining, and I'm following the program to the letter...but why no sexual activity?  Could the physical manipulation of the penis like...disrupt the placement of the medication...or something?

I'm just curious.

I understand for 2-3 weeks after the xiaflex injection you are at risk of fracturing the penis...def not good.  My high volume xiaflex doc said he's seen no fractures after 3 weeks...worth the wait!
