Australian biotech company AdAlta is developing treatment targeted to cure wide spectrum of fibrotic diseases. They are planning Phase 1 study early in 2018.

Quote
We are utilising the power of our i-body technology platform to develop a growing pipeline of i-bodies to treat a range of conditions, with an initial focus on treating fibrotic diseases.
Our lead i-body drug candidate AD-114 has significant anti-fibrotic effects in treating a type of fibrosis of the lung, known as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), and this is our initial focus. AD-114 has also demonstrated its usefulness in treating fibrosis of the eye and we are pursuing this as an additional opportunity for treatment of age-related macular degeneration (wet-AMD).
We have broadened the application of AD-114 to other fibrosis indications, including demonstrating therapeutic applications for fibrosis diseases of the liver and skin, and will now move on to demonstrating the anti-fibrotic application of AD-114 in the kidney.
AD-114 has key advantages for IPF treatment. These include:
only targeting diseased human tissue with effects only shown on IPF tissue and no effects displayed on normal lung tissue nor any evidence of off target effects;
being more effective than existing IPF approved drugs with greater in vitro efficacy compared to the only approved therapies Nintedanib and Pirfenidone;
demonstrated efficacy in multiple animal models showing that AD-114 has both anti-fibrotic and anti-inflammatory effects;
and a novel mechanism of action for fibrosis enabling a "first in class" therapy.

The links contain figures showcasing results of the AD-114 application.
The second link contains more details and overview of the current pipeline of clinical studies of anti-fibrotic treatments.

Peyronies is not mentioned in any of the links.
By the way, do you have Peyronies?

Nice find PSOD...have you contacted the company to see if Peyronies Disease is on their radar?

Thanks for posting

Oh yes.....I've heard of this drug. It was designed to mimic shark antibodies...fitting that it was developed in Australia! This is the part that sounds encouraging with respect to Peyronies Disease:  "It is also very specific in pulmonary fibrosis, targeting only cells in fibrotic — or scarred — areas of the lungs while ignoring cells in healthy lung tissue." This is the drawback with Xiaflex, it attacks both good and bad tissue, removing scar but causing more scarring.

I emailed them, Peyronie's is not one of the diseases they are looking at.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

In 2021 if the drug is approved and does what it says and gets rid of fibrosis sparring normal cells then Urologists will prescribe it for Peyronies Disease..Doesnt have to be studied on Peyronies Disease.  Unless the compound is specific to lung tissue.  Thousands of meds are used off label every day.

@Freemason: there are always delays. The current ETA is 2021, but it might well end up being approved in 2025... or never...

Guys, where did you read that the ETA is 2021? Probably i missed it. And above all, with "ETA in 2021" you mean the finish of the Phase 3? Last question: will it be an injectable solution?
Sorry for all my questions but i'm not english mothertongue and i can't understand perfectly every line of their whitepapers..  ;D

hope794 you do know how to use Google? Here is there website:

Home - AdAlta - Developing i-body drugs to treat fibrotic diseases

Myself and at least one other forum member contacted them and they are not targeting Peyronies Disease or Dupuytrens.

Crooked, please read well my questions:
1: Guys, where did you read that the ETA is 2021?
2: with "ETA in 2021" you mean the finish of the Phase 3?

You only linked their website. In addiction, i specified that i'm not english mothertongue and it could be difficult for non-english speaking people to understand everything on the net. Trust me, it would be really difficult for you to read a medical-related article or website in italian; and so it is for me to read it in english.
Please rest assured here on the forum. Life it's already difficult for us all.
Kind regards, wish you the best.

P.S. = I contacted them yesterday, and they told me that they're not targeting at Peyronies Disease, just like they told you. But i was wondering if their AD-214 may be useful for our disease too, since it was effective for many types of fibrotic-related problems, such as eye fibrosis, liver fibrosis, heart fibrosis and so on.

I'm not sure where the 2021 date came from but this is from their latest report:

" It is our intention to progress the development of AD-214 through preclinical studies in 2018 in order to initiate the pivotal four-week safety study in 2019 before moving into a first-in-man clinical trial."

This means the drug is not even in a Phase I trial yet. It won't be available to treat any condition for many years. But, yes it may be applicable to Peyronie's disease.

Ok. I didn't understand where the 2021 date came from.

Fix This

Looks as though they were die to start Phase 1 this summer ( 2021)  . I'm not sure whether they did or not, having done a current search ( Ocotber 2021). But looks like it will be a couple fo years more by the time they've done Phase 2 and 3 studies.

I expect the whole project got covid delayed like most things
47 , penis trauma July 2018 leading to Peyronies. 30-40 degree dorsal curvature, narrowing after plaque.

I'm attacking it though, and I will fix this!
