Hello, I am a 23 year old male and have been suffering from peyronies for 5 years. I have not spoken to anyone about it or seen a doctor out of embarrassment and denial. I have avoided relationships and haven't done much in terms of treatment. there is not a significant bend but it has been painful since I injured it years ago from aggressive masturbation. I would go hands free for a long period of time, letting it heal and then I would go back to masturbating and the pain would come back not long after. It usually hurts after being used, I get throbbing/aching pains from the middle of my penis to back into my pelvis.
I have done a little reading and am opposed to using pentox. I did try traction and it just made things worse. I have recently got a VED but have not been able to get it to work(I imagine I need to shave to get a proper seal, will be getting some clippers).
I have lived at an Ashram for 3 years studying yoga(celibate community) so it hasn't been much of an issue and I have been able to avoid it. having recently left, I met someone and am worried about sex.
I don't want to burden her and I want to be able to satisfy her. I am worried that sex might make it worse.
My understanding is doctors dont know much and cant do much. It takes a long time to see a urologist in Canada. Not sure what to do. I guess if I am able, mind as well enjoy it while I can.
Some feedback or advice would be appreciated.

thank you.

some advice on sex with this condition would be helpful

Hi Kyle, i'm as old as you, I'm very sorry to hear from your condition.
As most of the user ask to the new posters if they are completely sure if they have exactly Peyronie's, I will ask you the same thing: Are you completely sure that what you have is Peyronie's? The pain caused by the plaque almost always tends to disappear more or less after 12 months of its initial appearance, so your pain after 5 years doesn't make a lot of sense if we think it's Peyronie's. Most of the users around here who experience pain years after the onset of Peyronie's usually have something else besides Peyronie's, or they don't even have Peyronie's at all, just something else that causes them pain. The bend has always been there or it appeared after the aggresive masturbation? If it has been always there, it's almost surely a congenital curve, which means that you were born with it. I wouldn't dismiss Pentox so fast: a lot of urologists, including the best Peyronie's specialists, recommend it because it can help a lot, and a lot of users have had good experiences with it. Have you felt any bump, plaque or indentation?
As always, first of all, you need to talk with a urologist. Don't even waste your time going with a general urologist, go directly to a specialist in Peyronie's, if you think you have it, because most urologists don't know almost anything about PE. After that, once u know exactly what you have you will be able to start a good plan to battle this. Keep us informed! I wish you all the luck in the world. :D

Hi Alex, thanks for the response and my apologies for my delayed.
I was straight as an arrow before I injured it. Now the head of my penis is past the left side of my shaft. I feel hardness in the curve which I imagine is plaque. So as far as I know I do have Peyronie's.
Its a little complicated trying to get in touch with a specialist in Canada. Minimum 8 month wait, I will look into it though.
Managed to get the VED working. My condition looks a lot worse when using it, it seems to intensify the curve. I need to be a little gentler, I felt pain after, need a few rest days now.

Hi Kyle
I see that it's a little bit difficult to see a specialist in Canada. Couldn't you go to the United States to see a doctor? A lot of guys around here have travelled all around the world to seek help, and some of thethe best Peyronie's specialists seem to be in the USA. As soon as you know exactly what you're dealing with, the sooner you'll be able to act to fight against it. For what I know, Peyronie's tends to remain active around 12 months (it can last longer or less, though) and then it stabilizes. Pain usually goes away with the onset of stabilisation, or even before (it seems like it's easier to get rid of the pain if you take pentox or cialis). Because of this, it seems strange to me that you have had an active case for 5 years. You wouldn't be the first case of a Peyronies Disease that lasts for a long time, but it's not the norm. Also, I've always thought that these really long cases a lot of times can be caused by something else besides the Peyronie's. I highly recommend to you to see an specialist as soon as you can to see if you have only Peyronie's or another problem. If it's impossible to you, wait the 8 months to see the specialist, but make sure that the specialist is good (around here and other forums you may find info about good specialists in Canada) because you are in risk of waiting 8 months for someone who won't know enough about it and then have to wait all over again.
Regarding the VED, I can't help you because I don't use it, but a lot of other posters here will be able to help you a lot with it. The poster Old Man got rid of his Peyronie's with it, and he's very knowledgeable on how it works and how can you use it correctly. Also, he's extremely nice and polite, and I'm sure he will be glad to help you. If he can't, look for other posters (or contact me via MD if you can't find anyone, I hope I'll be able to help). Before using the VED, make sure that you know how it works correctly. A lot of guys have hurt themselves using it in a non correct way. It seems to help a lot, but if you overpump or use it incorrectly you could be doing more damage, and we don't want that  ;)
And remember, if it's still active after all these years, it means that you can still  partially correct it and even reverse some of the damage. Once it calcifies after the stabilisation, very little can be done to correct the curvature or shrinkage. Oral treatments like Pentox, Cialis and L-Arginine seem to help a lot (specially with pain), traction and VED are probably the best non-surgical treatments out there, and Xiaflex has been proven to be a good method to eliminate part of the scar tissue (not all of it, though). I think that for now your main goal would be to make the progression stop, and then see what you can do to correct the curvature if it bothers you (although if it's mild I wouldn't do anything about it). Sorry for the long post and good luck, keep us informed! :D

Hi Alex,

traveling to the states is something to consider. Prescription might be an issue but I imagine a GP would probably do it for me with a referral.

Thank you kindly, I really appreciate the support and I will be sure to be in touch.

Hey, what traction device did you use and how long did you use it for? I am just curious as you mentioned that traction made your condition worse. Please respond
