GainsWave vs P-Shot

So I've seen a lot of debate regarding the "P-shot" and its effectiveness, but little to nothing regarding the "GainsWave".

From what I've read online, the GainsWave seems to have more immediate success - but they both feel really gimmicky and borderline barbaric to me.

It makes me think of how people used to use shock therapy for mentally ill people, and injecting holes into your penis (5 times!) seems like a huge gamble for minimal gains..especially when damaging your penis was the initial issue that got all of us into this unfortunate predicament.

At the rate these "treatments" keep sprouting up, I'm not sure if throwing money at these current ones would be wise.

But I am curious to hear from anyone that tried the "GainsWave" so we can have some results posted.

After reading a few things regarding "GainsWave" I understand that it is shock wave therapy, nothing else
We have a board for that.
It is not invasive like PRP, they are not injecting in the penis.
Quoteinjecting holes into your penis
not exactly, the needle suppose to be #30, but it may make damage also.

Agree! But if I was a PRP provider, I disagree, as the money you trowing will land in my pockets  8)

Shock therapy for the mentally ill is done today and quite effectively..it is still one of the most effective treatments for a plethora of psychiatric conditions.  Its just that today it is done with more care.

Japan42, I stumbled across this gainswave also.  Is there any validity to this?

GainsWave is electro shockwave therapy and as James says there is a section on the forum about this.

P-shot, is the Priapus shot, where they inject plasma back into the penis.

The intentions of both is to stimulate growth and 'healing' of the various tissues inside the penis. Personally, I think it's trash. The smooth muscle of the erectile tissue of the corpus canvernosum is the kind that does not grow on it's own. In fact there aren't many tissue types in the body that can regrow........hence stem cell research, the essence of which is to use stem cells to trigger growth in tissue that normally does not grow on its own.

Sometimes when you look up ED and stem cell research you see results for the P-shot. The P-shot IS NOT stem cell therapy.

ESWT may have benefits for some blood vessels in the penis as blood vessels have been shown to grow in reaction to certain stresses, but I don't think it would have much benefit elsewhere.

100% right. Enough to read the forum PRP results and the forum debate on the subject

Gainswave is a rip-off - I spent $300@ on 6 very uncomfortable treatments and there was no change in my "bend" at all.  The Dr's office requires full payment up front and now I see why. When I told them that it didn't work all they said was "oh you probably just need more treatments we'll need another $2000"

Angry and frustrated- I tried two Xiaflex shots and they were so painful that I stopped - you also can't have sex for two moths with each cycle of xiaflex

Just to add on.... having done both PRP and ESWT ... they were both worthless for me.  There is some solid clinical evidence that ESWT (Gainswave or Big D Wave, etc.) can help with ED. To date I haven't seen anything, only heard anecdotal stories where ESWT has helped with Peyronies Disease.  The PRP is a complete waste in my opinion.  The injections give the illusion that your penis is bigger for a few days just because you have injected plasma (i.e. more volume) into it. Once the plasma gets absorbed by the body you are back to normal.  Also you run the risk of doing more damage if you have Peyronies Disease and are injecting into plaque.  In my case I was told PRP will help with hourglassing.  I had gotten back to almost straight after 4 rounds of Xiaflex which corrected a 40 degree downward bend and found myself suffering from a 90 degree bend upward after PRP shots and then stem cell shots.  I can't say for certain the shots into the plaque caused more damage but it is certainly a viable hypothesis vs the 2nd bout of Peyronies Disease being part of refractory Peyronies Disease (as one urologist put it... meaning I have chronic Peyronies Disease).  Ultimately I went the implant route and thus far am very happy. Best of luck to all and happy to try and answer any questions.

Unfortunate that it actually made it worse for you, curved. = /

I received shockwave therapy (6 sessions) and it helped a bit for ED. But not much.
Snake Diet + 5-day fasts + pentox + NeoV's stretching routine + Mito Red Light. Curvature 99% gone.

I also used Todd Capistrant's "Fascial Distortion Model" to help my curvature. Start slowly.
