Questions about traction!

Hi guys! I'm 22 and I'm relatively new at Peyronie's. My Peyronies Disease got triggered by a prolonged erection around three months ago. During this months, my penis has curved to the left (around 15º-20º), but besides the curve and some mild hard flaccid I haven't felt any more symptoms (no ED, no shrinkage, no loss of sensation, no major pain at erections, no lumps nor palpable plaque, etc.) although I some times feel upsetting sensations, but they come and go, and normally are very subtle. I've talked with a lot of doctors, and finally got rightly diagnosed 2 weeks ago. My urologist seems to think I could have a mild case, but with Peyronies Disease you never know, so I'm willing to do anything I can to get better. If you check my posts you will see that I have already started oral treatment (pentox, cialis, l-arginine, vitamine e, propolis) and I'm considering starting physical treatment.
Because of this, I have some questions I wanted to make to you guys about traction.

-First of all, because my doctor says that I could have a mild case, he only recommended my 1 hour of traction per day. I already told him that I had heard that 4 hours is the adequate number of hours to battle Peyronies Disease, but he told me that that was for people who have more agressive cases. Do you think I should do only 1 hour per day or use it for 4 hours or more? Currently I could use traction almost as many hours of the day as I wanted, so I will probably consider following your advice.

-Do you think it's to early to use it? My curve appeared more or less two months ago, and I'm afraid that I will be stretching my penis too much. If, for example, I start using traction now and I correct my penis for the moment (which means that I will have to make it a little bit longer in size), and then in 8 months I get another curvature, could I use it again to reduce the second curvature? I guess you can't stretch your penis indefinitely.

-Considering my last question, this is what I thought I could do as a plan to reduce the curve: I would use it 4 hours a day or more (I guess that I could use it even for 8 hours a day), and when my curve is finally reduced (if it happens, and if it stays like it is now, I don't think it would take me a lot of time, because the curve is kind of minor, although not subtle) stop using it until a new curve appears (if that happens). If I did it like this, I would probably prevent further curvature and luckily, eliminate the curvature I have now.

So, in short, my questions are: How many hours recommend me to use the traction device? Do you think it's to early for me to use it or do you recommend me to start now? What do you think of my plan to use it? I will probably get the Penimaster Pro, because it's the one that gets the best reviews around here! I will be probably making a lot of questions about how to use these things correctly, bcause I don't want to cause more damage down there. Thank you very much for your attention and answers!! :)

Hi ÀlexBl,

Did your urologist do an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis? If so, was there a plaque that caused the curvature? I ask as, if not, I wouldn't want to vouch for many hours of traction if that were to inflame the situation if the curvature turned out to be something other than peyronies.

That aside, I'd suggest more traction than your urologist suggests. If you have the time to do it then four hours sounds great. I don't really see a downside to it. I have three plaques but two fairly moderate curves, and my urologist says it'd be a lot worse if I didn't adhere to a fairly consistent traction schedule.

I'd recommend starting now. The earlier the better in my book. And get the Penimaster Pro. I'd tried another before settling on it and this works better. It takes a few days to get understand how to use it. Feel free to reach out for tips at any time.

Hi Lmlalo! I did take an ultrasound, and although it didn't show up anything, the doctor seems to think it's a very mild form of Peyronie's. He even didn't want to call it Peyronie's. I prefer to not be super optimistic about the situation and do anything I can to prevent further curvature and eliminate the one I already have. The case is that there is a curve where it wasn't before, and that's a clear evidence about Peyronie's, which was triggered by trauma. I've decided to buy the Penimaster Pro, which seems to be the one that's more useful and safe to treat this. Before putting so many hours to the traction device, I will send a mail to my urologist asking him what he thinks about it, and if he think it's fine, I will start immediately. Thank you so much for the kind reply and the attention  :D

Good luck. For what it's worth, I started with the rod and found it hard to get in a lot of hours due to the plastic base pushing up against my body and balls and causing pain after a while. I switched to using the strap, mainly (still use the rod on occasion), and found it much better. A firmer stretch and easier to walk around and wear at work, etc.

I was never properly diagnosed, however I had a 20-30° curve, rather considerable.
For a time I tried some oils but obviously they didn't work and that lowered my morale a lot.
I used a product to apply a physical traction to the section for 2 hours a day along with vitamin E which I had read is indicated in such cases and after a couple of months it's noticeably less bent. The device I speak of is the one they mention in this article (link removed by moderator, was just a standard rod+springs device being recommended)
I only tried this one so I don't know about the rest but this worked for me 8)

@lmalo, I started with the PMP using the rods and I like others mention found it a bit uncomfortable for more than an hour. Am I using too long of rods? I want a decent stretch obviously, but my glans also pops out if I have it pointed up and I sit down. It seems to increase the pull this way and I pop out. How have you been wearing the straps? Over shoulder? Around leg? Waist? I'd like to give it another go if I can.  Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, I'm the same. I last about an hour with the rod and the stretch is great, but it pushes up against my body and hurts after a while. I still try to use it sometimes to get the good stretch. I do the knee strap now—been using it for almost two months—and find it pretty effective. Especially because it means I can get in four or five hours at work if I wear looser fitting pants and sit at my desk or a couch.

How do you wrap the strap around the knee to keep it stable?  Mine keeps loosening.

I just followed the video on the Penimaster Pro site. It was mildly difficult to get the hang of it. But I just set aside 30 minutes to practice all three ways of attaching it and the knee one seemed the most effective/comfortable to me.
