Sudden pain, more numbness after dumb stretch

I did something stupid the other day. I have a ventral indent mid shaft and wanted to stretch it out using my thumb on the other side to push it out while keeping the head in place. I did it a bit too hard and felt a tearing sensation. I immediately stopped and noticed an area of red skin that was probably irritated from being stretched out. It's been about 48 hours since then, the redness is gone but I notice that I have even less sensation than before on the right side of my shaft all the way up. Glans is fine just the shaft is numb. Currently have it wrapped up with handwarmers which feels nice. Mostly feel heat on the left though. Anyone have any idea what might have happened? What should I do now? Hesitant to go to er since they likely can't/won't do anything for me other than tell me not to do it again. It doesn't hurt at all it's just numb. Any help would be great.

I'm brand new to the site, but would suggest if not the ER at least a urtologist first thing Monday am.  Also, calling the ER might give you an idea if they would be helpful in addressing it today.  Good luck!

Generally, I would agree with tsanchez. However, the male dick warrants special care. The run-of-the-mill urologist can cause even more pain or injury to an already injured dick, let alone an emergency room visit. For sure, trauma care in emergency room across the US is said to be second to none. Nonetheless, if you can make it to a qualified male sexual health specialist (not likely to be found in the ER) you may be better off in the long run. Plenty of stories here on the Forum about clueless urologists who know nothing about Peyroni's and inflict more damage to the dick O.o

Numbness can come back in time so long as your blood sugar is low and not coating the nerves. ALCAR, COQ10, and ALA may speed up the healing process, but nothing will regrow when your nerves are glycosylated. My numbness in my penis is going away after four or five YEARS of numbness from an injury, all due to a month and a half of keto and low carb dieting.

If you have Peyronie's to begin with, you likely have a metabolic issue and your nerves are at high risk. Nerve injuries become more easy in this state as well.

So I saw the urologist on Tuesday. They couldn't see anything wrong but I'm researching to death if I've permanently damaged the nerves. I can still feel It when I pinch it so maybe there's hope. It seems like it would be hard to completely sever them by stretching but I did it in such an unusual way. How hard does one have to stretch before permanent nerve damage takes place?

Agree- My uro fed me up by stretching it out while it was already inflamed and causing more damage.

After reading, now I'm concerned about even going to then urologist I was referred to by PCP.  It's Raul Hernandez...anyone heard of him in San Francisco?  Only thing I've been able to find is he's listed on the Xiaflex Web page as having done 20+ treatments in 12 months.  Not sure if that's 12 patients or 12 injections.  He is on my insurance panel.  Dr Lue is recommended, but an initial consult without any procedures such as ultrasound is $400-600 per his intake coordinator...arrrgh!
