Pelvic floor issues causing indentation/curvature?

Hello all. I am 25 years old and I injured my penis doing rough masturbation around 4 weeks ago, since then the following has happened: I found a chord like structure on the underside of my penis below the glans, I have since been able to confirm that this is a blood vessel, by shining my phone light on it and stretching the skin. It's either thrombosed or just very swollen. I had pain on and off since then and swelling which has been coming and going. The swelling of blood vessels has increased and I can now find them all over my penis, some are bulging at the surface and some lie deep inside and are thin and chord like. At various points in the day they seem to relax and the penis looks normal, at other times they appear big again. The main chord like vein below the glans always remains thick however. The base of my penis is swollen, where the majority of the bulging veins are. The veins are sore and feel exactly like the pain I sometimes get from a varicocele I have. My whole penis aches upon occasion and feels stretched/stressed/strained. I have have reduced my masturbation but have not ceased it nearly sufficiently and so it is possible I have aggravated my situation by not leaving it alone.

My newest symptom is what worries me most: my penis has started to bend to the right when in a semi-erect or hard-flaccid state (upon erection it straightens out). I am 70% sure this has not happened before, at least not as severely. My penis has a hourglass shape upon occasion, and has done for about the last 18 months (worryingly, when I started taking beta-blockers), only in the flaccid or hard-flaccid state. This is most evident when I go to urinate, by the time I finish urinating the hourglass shape is almost completely gone. This hourglass shaping has changed slightly and I now have a more distinctive dent on the right side of the mid shaft where the hour glassing happens. Again, this dent is only visible in hard-flaccid states and sometimes as my penis is filling up to get an erection. At the moment at least, a full erection causes the dent to disappear.

So, I know no one on the forum can tell me anything definitive and I will need an ultrasound for this to work out exactly what is going on, but my main question is: can pelvic floor tension problems cause curvature and/or dents in the penis? I am 100% certain I have pelvic floor problems and have had for a long time. I have also had the hard-flaccid state upon occasion for as long as I can remember, I thought this was just a normal occurrence to happen when stressed. I have been getting mild pain in the area between my testicles and anus, and have been getting spasms at the entrance to my anus. My glutes, leg and abdominal muscles are very weak and flat, I have been very inactive recently and I know this has links to pelvic floor tension. I have also been incredibly stressed recently and so pelvic floor problems are definitely likely.

Other than that, my grandfather had dupuytren's contracture and I had been taking beta blockers for about 18 months up until my minor penis injury. This, and the fact i've got a dent and curve are obviously causing me some anxiety about peyronies too. So therefore peyronies seems definitely feasible, but, if pelvic floor issues are capable of creating bends and dents then that might be feasible for me too. Any thoughts would be very, very much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Hey,

hourglass diappearing when voiding is actually a major sign for pelvic muscle tension. Because you need to relax most of the muscles for that. I would recommend visiting a pelvic floor therapist. Especially as spasms in the anus will cause you a whole bunch of other problems you definitely do not want (hemorrhoids for example). Check the other recent introduction threads, I posted a link to pelvic floor exercises there.

I had that varicocele pain, too, and have it when very stressed. Do you have a pain that's like a rubber band constricting your skin when fully erect? Similar to a pinched skin, but stronger. This was actually the most prominent sign of peyronies for me, except the curvature.

Scar tissue will compress the fully erect penis or will really hurt when straightened. If you don't have that, I would first vote towards pelvic issues or a disease affecting the veins directly. Maybe you broke a blood vessel and it's now thrombosed.

Get a Doppler ultrasound checkout to be sure, if you want.

Sex or masturbation itself can cause a kind of pelvic spasm or tension that will bend the penis, at least for me. Relaxing the pelvic floor is key, but part of it is due to a chronic unconscious clenching DURING sex, and a reliance on it to remain hard or ejaculate in the first place.

How would one go about treating pelvic floor tension? Are there specialists who help with it? What are they called (if so) ?
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

I have only realised I had something called a pelvic floor a few days ago and so I have no idea of the best way to relieve this, however, I have been doing lots of relaxation and stretch exercises off youtube over the last two days. If you search pelvic floor relaxation on youtube there will be loads of results. And Tychy above says he himself has posted some exercises on the forum to look at. I also believe strengthening your glutes (bum muscles) by doing squats will help in the long term as well, whether or not this is a good idea while you have pelvic tension I do not know!

Yes! Strengthening the glutes is essential. We sit too long each day and our front muscles are usually more trained than the back ones. Squats and supermans are a good way to work out the back, as long as you don't cramp up in your pelvic floor while exercising and are doing deep breaths.

I too, at times get the temporary dent thing, exactly as you describe, with the hourglass condition, though I already have Peyronie's, with my plaque being just above the dent, when it appears.

I too hope it doesn't worsen my plaque, or create another one.

To me, hard flaccid (an actual limp, shrunken state for a temporary period of time) occurring, is a separate condition, which I had for the first time recently. I would agree, it is brought on by stress / over sexual stimulation.
