Pentox and chest pain?
« on: July 06, 2017, 04:01:22 PM »

I've been taking Pentox since August 2016. 400mg three times a day. A few months ago I developed chest pain. I went to a cardiologist and was told everything looked normal. The pain comes and goes and obviously it could be completely unrelated, but has anyone else experienced chest pains after taking Pentox?

I would assume anxiety or acid reflux. Try an antacid like pepcid or zantac and see if it helps.

I have had chest pain recently after starting pentox. I'm going to get some cardio tests done just to check everything is okay, but thought I'd put this post up in case anyone experiences similar symptoms.

As someone that had a hearth attack in the past, I suggest to make a visit to a cardiolog.
I had no problems while taking Pentox, but bad thing is not a chest pain.
The bad thing is like pressure in the chest, like you have a heavy weight put on the chest, difficulty to brief.

Two of the most common side effects of pentox is chest pain and jaundice.

I think you are OK, but you can easily rule out any problems with a simple EKG. It can also just be a rib dysfunction, which is more musculoskeletal. Again, I think you are probably OK - but you can get an EKG to be sure.

If you have Peyronies Disease or ED, keep taking the pentox if you can tolerate. Add cialis or viagra for better results (before going to bed).

Just the opinion of a resident physician. Do with it what you want. This is not medical advice.

Thanks all. I went and saw a cardiologist and it doesn't seem to be Pentox related. And the pain seems to have mostly subsided for now.

Pentox and caffeine can trigger false hypoglycemia, and in some cases it may cause chest pain or odd sensations. When I get these, I have neck pain, jaw pain, and half my face goes numb. I am almost sure I'm having a stroke or heart attack but it appears to be a false or real hypo which can be triggered or made worse by stimulants. Definitely go back for more tests if it keeps happening, but do keep a food log and see how it may be your blood sugar. Eating a high carb meal can cause it to happen later, or not eating at all. See if it's coinciding with those moments.

Proposing to everyone who is experiencing chest pain or other hearth related symptoms
to have a few Isosorbide Dinitrate 5 mg pills in his pocket.
A pill bellow the tang can save life until you get help from medics.
Many people life were saved if they were using the pill in case of emergency.
From 1995 I never go nowhere  without it in my pocket.

I had chest pain when i took too many Pentox pills in one day. I didn't start slow with one pill, then two, just took 3 the first day. Anyway chest pain was bad and scared me, haven't taken it since.

Also, you can buy baby aspirin packet to keep in wallet in case if your own, or someone else's chest pain while waiting for an ambulance.

I've not experienced chest pain, but have had some other Pentox side effects that are more subtle.

The first is a sensitivity to noise - kind of a funny thing to endure during a day at work. I sometimes find myself cursing the source of the noise - even when it is just a normal "day at the office" sound. Kind of weird, I know.

The second is periodic heart palpitations - which I think is sort of a standard side effect.

But neither is serious enough to make me consider discontinuing it - it does help with the pain. I'm also taking Cialis, which may also be partially responsible for either/both of these effects.
