I got in touch with the doctor and send him some pics of my penis. He said that everything is fine and that I am overly cautious.
I guess he's right.
Being the way I am, I'm still going to check my penis form time to time. :)

Happy everything is alright. I suggest you just lay back and enjoy the results. That small curve might be just overthinking or smaller erection (not fully 100%). I don't think there should be a reason for that curve to just suddenly come back. Perhaps use Phallossan, it helps with everything. Cheers.

Time for another update.

It has been 10 months since my surgery. Healthwise I am fine.

The situation with my curvature is as follows: I have measures at least 10-degree dorsal curvature but I think it might be approaching 15.
I've been watching some of the curvature returning over the past few months. I'm not sure what to expect for the future. This May/June it will be 12 months post surgery and then I'll see again what my condition is. If the curvature keeps returning I might pay Kuehhas a visit.

I'll keep you posted.
:)

Did you doctor suggest like 2 months after surgery to use traction?
Developed peyronies 2007 - 70 degree dorsal curve

I used traction device for 3 moths after the surgery. I think it helped with the retraction a lot.

Congratulations on your great results.  If they hold at 5 degrees you're all set.  I hear a slight upward curve is an advantage w intercourse and oral sex  😊
PxD 2 yrs 9/16.  Failed all treatment. 9/11/18: excision, grafting & implant Dr Karpman MtnView Ca, AMS CX 18cm + 3-1cm RTEs.
Pump failed.  2/11/20 Dr Karpman installed Titan 22cm +1cm RTE.

It has been 15 months since my surgery.

Strangely some of the curvature has been creeping back.
Right now my measurement shows 14 degree dorsal curvature. I use a CAD software on my PC to calculate it with the best accuracy. Since my last post I think I added 4 degrees.

I'm a bit perplexed about what is happening. I thought after 1 year post op any possible recurrence will have finished. It seems I am a bit of an exception.
I have a collection of photos taken every month since December 2017. It is clearly visible how some curvature reappeared for the past 9 months.
I'll keep observing and documenting the process. I don't know when it is going to stop, but i plan to find out :) I am considering making some sort of a sketch to show you guys how the condition of may penis has changed over the past 1 year, although it will take some work and time :).

sargus

I made a sketch of my curvature progression.
It was difficult to find a before surgery  picture but i tried my best.

Great result. You should be happy. Good job  :)

Hi sargus,

although I haven't experienced further progression of the curve after 6 months, I took a bit of time to read about results of using absorbable sutures.

I have found a great study, which didn't use STAGE technique, but used absorbable sutures in the same fashion.

https://www.europeanurology.com/article/S0302-2838(06)01614-9/fulltext#section0030

"Among the 114 patients, 103 (90.4%) completed the post hoc questionnaire. The long-term outcome and patient satisfaction of the modified plication procedure in treating CPC is shown in Table 3. For a median follow-up period of 41.5 mo (range: 13–91), no further recurrence of penile curvature was noted beyond 6 mo after surgery. No suture knots or suture granuloma was felt by the patients. No erectile dysfunction developed postoperatively. Seventy-nine (91.9%) patients who had difficulty or pain during vaginal penetration reported disappearance of the symptoms after surgery. Bump sensation under the penile skin was experienced in 21 (20.3%) patients, but it became more and more vague afterwards in most of the patients. Twenty-six (25.2%) men noted a certain extent of penile shortening after surgery, but most of the men were not significantly bothered by it. Very or moderate satisfaction with the surgical result was reported by 81.5% of the patients. The rest of the patients were dissatisfied with the surgical result for reasons such as having a residual curvature of more than 15 degrees (n = 16), wound dehiscence (n = 2), and wound infection (n = 1)."

Apparently using absorbable sutures can cause minor to mild residual curvature. Apparently only 14% of pacients has more than 15 degrees and a very small amount only 30 degrees.

They had a lot of these pacients have follow-up and their conclusion was that NONE of them had an increased residual curvature after 6 months.

Sargus, perhaps those few degrees that you experience truly make you an exception or it might be just that your penis took a longer time to get to the "original length" so to speak. I am referring here to the post-op recovery.

I hope this link helps and eases your mind a little. I think it's fine to keep documenting the process, but don't put too much thought into it. Enjoy what you have :)

Cheers,
Z

I hope you are right zoli1995.
It could be that my recovery period is just longer than most people. It is either that or maybe my penis has some regenerative abilities like deadpool :)

endingcurve

Hi sargus,
How is it going now. Is the returning curvature bothering you? I also wonder that, do you think the unbalanced length is caused by the lengthening of one side, or the shortening of the other side?

sargus

Hi to all.
This is a major update on my health status.

It has been 27 months since my STAGE surgery.
My current curvature is ~30 degrees. It is in the same direction It has been before. There are no symptoms of Peyronies.
Before surgery, I had  45~50 degrees dorsal curvature.
Basically, this is just a recurrence.

Ever since 5 months post-surgery, my curve has been coming back with a constant rate of about 1,5-degree per month.
The big issue for me is that I don't think the recurrence has ended. I've observed a change in the past month.
My fear is that in 6~10 months I'll be at square one.
I have had sex just a few days ago and I think it was fine. The current curve of 30 degrees is somewhat limiting but not in a big way.
My case seems quite unique since no one on this forum has experienced such slow recurrence.
I've just started a new relationship a week ago. I hope the recurrence stops once and for all. If it doesn't this might cause a problem in the future for my relationship.

I want to share some experience ass well. Since few people know what it's like to have sex with a penis that has been from straight to 30 degrees and 50 degrees ass well.
In my experience judging from my own feelings, the best sex I had was when my curve was 10~20 degrees. I take into account my comfort and pleasure.
As to my partner, I can't say for sure but I think the added friction from the curve is a plus even at 30 degrees.
I still haven't had a lot of sex since i hit the 30 degrees mark so expect a future update on that.

Straightening surgeries...a crime sold like a candy. Well hope you are not going for a second one as a second one calls for a third one and so on. In the meanwhile, you get more impotent every time adding scar tissue to scar tissue and nerve damage risk to nerve damage risk. The more you operate, the more you make the surgery trickier as you got inevitably some fibrosis from the earlier one. Manipulating the neurovascular bundle more complicated...

It sounds like a paradox, but if it was a permanent solution I would almost go for an implant than a straightening surgery, whose literature is biased and there is little chance for patients to change it.
31 yrs old
Severe congenital curvature. 3 straightening surgeries
Big lump/stitch w/ left deviation after 2012 surgery
Severe ED after last one in 2014. Still crooked
Slightly improved w/ shockwave therapy
Looks like only one side of my penis works

Oh Boy

Wow this is crazy! Your story encouraged me to get my surgery.

Hi guys.
It's been a year since my last update and I want to share my current status.

Since the last update, my curvature has increased by 5 degrees. So now my dorsal curve is 35 degrees. The rate of my recurrence has slowed down but I don't know if it has stopped. It has been 3 years and 3 months of slow recurrence for me now...
I've seen a urologist this spring because of low libido but it ended up not an issue, everything is fine now. I told the doctor about my surgery and his opinion was that any curve less than 65 degrees was not a problem. I just had no desire to argue with him, I guess the guy was not familiar with those issues. I just know that my original 50 degrees curve was a major problem. It's not easy to find a good urologist that is a specialist in curvature problems in my country.

I'm in a complicated relationship right now and I don't know if it will last long.
I've had sex a few times this month. My partner seems pleased with my penis and my performance, but you know that it's not just the size and shape that makes good sex.

These are some problems I have right now with my sexual experience that I want to share with you:
When my penis is 100% erect I cant penetrate fully and I feel the pressure that the vagina is putting on my penis. I find it best when I am at 90% erect to have a good penetration and therefore sex.
The friction is bigger with my curve and it adds some pleasure. If I find the right angle sex is good. I can use the curve sometimes to add some extra friction and make it more enjoyable for her.

On the negative side having woman on top 2 weeks ago was a challenge. The way my partner was riding me put a lot of pressure on my bent. I guess he way the vagina sqeezes my penis plus the grind was a lot, I almost had her stop. However she enjoyed it a lot.
I think I can manage to protect my penis during sex, however it is still a concern.

My biggest worry now is that for a few days after sex I feel bruised and some mild pain in my penis. It is in the dorsal part of my penis (the side that is stretched if you try to straighten your errect penis) and at the rim of the glans near the degloving scar( I guess there is a lot of friction there during sex because to the way my penis curves).

I am considering a second surgery now. Unfortunately I'm at a period of my life where I'm very busy and having less and less time to spend on the sidelines of the dating world. Knowing that a surgery will put my sex life on hold for at least 3-4 months or maybe more(in my previous experience i needed 6 to be fully capable) I am thinking about this decision very seriously.
I guess time will tell if I need another surgery. I just wish my recurrence happened fully in the first year post op so I would have gone to a second surgery and get this issue over by now.
