Hi gang, I'm Tony from Australia, going in for plicate surgery and the URO said I would lose 3/4 of and inch. Well, when Penises were handed out I was at the back of the cue, so this is my biggest concern. I'm 56 and have started a true love relationship with a lovely lady I dated when I was 15 yrs old in England. I will be going back there when house is sold. She know of my condition and isn't the least bit worried, but I am. not having much to start with is bad enough but to lose more is devastating. Any advice would be much appreciated , best regards
Tony

Tony

Can you give us some more information regarding your Peyronies?
Did you made some treatment?
On this forum, people see surgery as the last resort.
I am proposing you to read more on the forum before going under the knife.

James
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.

Got amazing support on the forum

James means to say that some people see surgery as a last resort. Others, like myself, are gung ho! And he really should have more info before spouting off, anyway.

Heyo, I support contemporary surgical approach, when completed but an andrologist or male sexual health specialist -- who already has many surgeries under his belt. You do not want to be one of the practice penises.

Fear of surgery is a dark ages mentality.

So, tell us more about your situation.

I can't be more disagree with you. It's imperative to be doubtful, especially in era in which they are offered surgery as it was taking a candy..
And when it comes to penile surgery, well, it's basically making damages to the penis pretending (yes because they are faking) it's absolutely safe and so on. Can anyone tell me how making scarring inside a penis could be even be considered something like a solution? Scarring is the first cause of impotence worldwide. I account all this just a big swindle that goes on relying on the fact it's so a private thing that it's almost possible find a person who would speak out loudly how this sucks. That's awful. That's forum it's just a drop in the ocean, its sample it's almost irrelevant. I spent so much time gathering information out there and it's nothing more than a slaughter.
No mantion that straightening accomplishment is so overrated and it just takes a look in here to see how many ended up reoperated. Well dude, what's the matter, we re operate and you'll be fine.
Or you end up like me, stuck in a condition that neither an implant would ameliorate as I'm unfit.

31 yrs old
Severe congenital curvature. 3 straightening surgeries
Big lump/stitch w/ left deviation after 2012 surgery
Severe ED after last one in 2014. Still crooked
Slightly improved w/ shockwave therapy
Looks like only one side of my penis works

Emotion never equates to fact. You frequently get all wrapped up in emotion, ahem. When speaking about your own experience emotions may well be part of your story. You also have a tendency to paint with hyper-broad brush strokes, making wild statements with only a modicum of truth.

Visitors to the Forum won't necessarily be on guard to filter and sort all the opinions presented as fact. Some will, for sure. But err on the side of clarity, eh?

Who can be opposed to clarity?

Now we've nicely hijacked Mo's thread  8)

Jack1909

That's reality, painted of whatever you said if you want, but that's all. No one can denies that all the concept behind penile surgery is senseless..it would be like trying to cure cancer pumping cancer cells inside a body..

That's why, for instance, the number of doctors who say surgeries like Nesbit are too invasive it's increasing dramatically.

Well lets get back on topic with Hemmo. He may be making the the right choice. It depends on everyone's degree of curvature, what they have tried to this point, etc.

We do take the position that surgery is a last resort, but I have seen cases where I would recommend to go directly to surgery. Each person's case has to be evaluated and this is what James was trying to do by asking for more information.

If we want to debate the pro's and con's of surgery let's do that in the Surgery board.
