Top of the morning to you all!

I've been a reader of the forum from about the time I found out, not only what this "disease" was, but also the grim reality that I most certainly had it. My story starts mid-October of 2016 (I was a 20 year old college sophomore) when a small, unpalpable bump (that had caused confusion but no worry) started to harden and elongate on the upper left side of my dick, causing some curvature. I went into a frantic search online and determined that I had Peyroine's. A couple of doctors visits confirmed it. This was 2 weeks after my then-girlfriend and I really started sexually expanding our relationship, so naturally this was (and has been) devastating. My life started crumbling around me, causing me to straight up leave some of my classes in the middle of lectures because I was just mentally freaking out, even was convinced at one point that I had some sort of autoimmune disorder to go along with the Peyronie's (thanks WebMD).

After a month or two of mental detachment and depression, I decided that the only way to approach this mentally was with optimism, no matter how fake it sometimes seems. This optimism obviously hasn't been continuous, as expected from anyone my age living with this hell of a curse, but I continue to hold my head high with hope. This forum has allowed me to do so. Reading success stories, seeing improvement from Xiaflex, and seeing the dedication from others to continue to try new methods and ask questions has changed my outlook in this battle incredibly. So thank you all for this lovely site.

My personal progression of this disease and treatment goes as follows:

The small original lump continued to grow and has now somewhat softened. A second appeared lower on the left side (below the original) and is much harder than the original. The third is the worst though. It starts about half way up the top of the right side and extends toward the glans, eventually wrapping down to the side and continuing. I'm also pretty sure that there is something in the top middle in the area between the gland and the shaft as this is where a lot of pain comes from during erections.

I always had some congenital curvature (5-10 degrees) along with a high erection angle most likely due to tight suspensory ligaments. Now, however, I have a dorsal curve of about 60-80 degrees (depending on the day and how high of original erection angle is present. I also have a leftward lateral curve and hinging from the two plaques on the left that measures at an approximate 10-20 degrees when fully erect. A also have some pretty bad narrowing on the upper right side from that plaque. Basically, this disease is raveging my dick. I've tried a wide variety of oral treatment and have stuck with:

Pentox (2-3 x 400mg)
Fish Oil (2-4 1000mg)
Acetyl-L-Carnitine (800-1600mg)
Citrulline Malate (1000-2000mg)
Multivitamin (2 gummies)
Cialis (2.5 or 5 mg)
Morning Coffee
Drinking Synergy Kombucha (Gingerberry flavor)
-This stuff is great, filled with Organic Ginger Juice and blueberry juice, has helped
       with inflammation.

The pentox definitely helps with blood flow and keeping the hard flaccid state at bay. So I personally think that the many people that complain about it "not showing any benefits" and then stopping are wrong. If it helps with blood flow, then it is helping. If it isn't making your symptoms go away, then maybe it's not allowing them to progress. Stick with it.

This has made me go from being a pretty healthy individual to a very healthy individual (6'1" 167lbs, lean, athletic, I count my calories/carbs/proteins/fats, I watch my sodium, workout in the gym 5-6 days a week, and play on a club sports team) so naturally I was shocked when I was hit with this disease, especially being so young. However, I think I'm simply becoming more susceptible to general inflammation. I'm becoming more intolerant to foods, and earlier this year developed allergies for the first time. I've also dealt with stress, anxiety, depression, etc from a young age. This stuff hasn't kept me from being sociable or happy in the long run, but constant stress/poor sleeping interferes with the body's ability to heal. I attribute these things to be what caused me to originally develope the disease.

My family is pretty well-off financially, so thankfully paying for Xiaflex or surgery in the future shouldn't be a problem, and I am so lucky for at least having fall back plans (even though it might mean forgoing the romantic portion of my college life :p)

Anyway, it's nice to finally introduce myself to you guys. I'm looking forward to contributing and keeping everyone updated when my serious treatment (whatever it may be) begins. I'd also love to be a source of light-heartedness and optimism on the forum, really does make me feel great helping other people out :) Feel free to ask any questions. I'll be happy to answer. Don't lose hope!

Peace

Paolo

Hi YoWtfHappened, welcome and thank you for you posting (guessing your Irish American  ;), I had noticed you had been logging on a lot  :)

Thanks for this I will try and locate it, sounds delicious  :)

Think IMHO that 5-6 days a week is too much, 3 days a week with 'rest' days sounds better.

Good luck with your plan, all sounds sensible  :

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Hey brother and good to see you taking a proactive approach. I've been plagued by this disease early on and it had a drastic affect on my state of mind. Like why did this happen to me? All my buddies talk about the girls they've slept with and I'm there just acting like a normal guy meanwhile inside I'm hurting a lot. I've tried to push it away hoping things would get better but the truth is nothing will change unless you work for it. It's been two weeks since I've started my treatment of heat therapy, sonicare toothbrush,  3 cylinder ved, and castor oil. I've found that there has been better blood flow to my penis lately and some hourglassing has been reduced. I am still not able to properly maintain an erection but I intend to persevere. There are great people on this site and a lot of good information who are here to help and fight through it with you. Since I've started my routine, I've felt a lot better mentally and it has changed my outlook on life. So I'm really glad that you realized what took me years to do and be optimistic and persevere. "We will not go quietly into the night" lol Independence Day

Keep taking pentox and keep exercising.

Good stuff. Keep us updated.
Snake Diet + 5-day fasts + pentox + NeoV's stretching routine + Mito Red Light. Curvature 99% gone.

I also used Todd Capistrant's "Fascial Distortion Model" to help my curvature. Start slowly.
