I am 49 years old, and this is the first time i've posted on any message board so forgive me if i don't know all the rules (and please advise me accordingly).  Been googling Peyronies and fell up on this forum and i'm glad that i have.

I've always had a slight curvature (maybe 20 degrees) since i can remember. It's never been a problem for myself or my partners, but it was noticeable.

About 3 months ago i noticed the bend was significantly greater, maybe 75 degrees and it happened very quickly - i seemed to just notice it one day.  At first it didn't bother me too much and i thought it would go away, but it hasn't and it's made getting and maintaining an erection more difficult and now is causing major anxiety.

I went to my primary care physician who just asked the symptoms and he referred a urologist.  the urologist did not offer much comfort, information or time and told me to take 0.6mg colchicine once daily and vitamin E for 3 months and come back to see him (and also gave me paperwork to get a blood test a week before our next visit).

I've read a few posts on this forum but felt compelled to post before further reading (which i'm sure i'll be doing) to see if there is anything i should be doing in the early stages, and if the treatment my urologist recommended is the best course of action at this time.

I've already thought about scheduling an appointment with another urologist to see if i get someone that seems more of an expert, and would love to know if anyone can recommend a peyronies expert in southern california (not sure if it's allowed on this board to recommend doctors).

I'm married and have avoided sex with my wife since this problem started and just had the guts to tell her about it today.  From the few posts i've read thus far it seems some have recommended not having sex in the initial phases, but my doctor didn't mention if i should or not.

I really want to try to do whatever i can to deal with this issue in the best way possible.

Snake Diet + 5-day fasts + pentox + NeoV's stretching routine + Mito Red Light. Curvature 99% gone.

I also used Todd Capistrant's "Fascial Distortion Model" to help my curvature. Start slowly.

Please ignore his post.

There are treatments available, and members have been cured of Peyronies Disease.

Try not to sweat it too much. A lot of your erection issues will stem from anxiety, even if it's in the back of your head.
There are a bunch of treatments that different people swear by. I think a lot of it is just a matter of figuring out what your solution will be. You definitely want to get another urologist's opinion on this, though don't expect any of them to have a magic answer.

I agree about not avoiding sex. I find my curvature eases somewhat after busier periods of careful sexual activity. In my experience it's good to keep active. And my experience 12 months into this is not hell by any means. The advice on this forum is excellent. I immediately started on the recommended drugs and supplements and it seemed to really help. I think you can fight this and get postive results as I have. I read extensively here an nowhere else.

Thought I'd say hello myself as I just joined last night

To make matters worse I split with my girlfriend last week so I'm on a right downer

Never split up cause of my peyronies and she didn't have a problem with it but now we have split up it's the thought of having to start dating in the future

I've posted a couple of questions on the VED board down below so would be great if could get a couple of answers

Thanks in advance

Hi. I'm new here myself. There's some amazing advice here and very encouraging evidence that there's something to help pretty much everyone. You'll just need some time and determination. After 2 years of Peyronies Disease and finding this forum I'm more positive than every. Keep reading!
