Why can VED cause loss of nocturnal erections?

Looking back through the forum it seems that a sign you might be using VED too much / the wrong technique is loss of nocturnal erections. This phenomenon does not necessarily correlate with an injury such as an edaema, and things seem to return to normal after stopping VED for a time.

Just out of interest, does anyone know by what mechanism VED would affect NTEs this way? I can't figure out how stretching the vascular spaces of the corpous cavernosum would prevent them naturally dilating to draw in blood.

I think it would be for the same cause than jelqimg. Jelqing causes injury because you are dilating the veins when you push the hand above the penis causing the blood to be lost more easily, and it causes peyronie too due to pressure on the penis. Then with a VED if you use a lot of pressure you could dilate the veins causing them to retain less blood and worsen nocturnal erections. I understand this could be temporary or permanent depending on the degree of stress placed on the penis.
Just my two cents of course, I just guess
