Hello all. I'm making this post for myself and anyone who happens to stumble across this in a similar situation. I am open to suggestions, questions, anything.
So this happened back in Oct 2016. Injury during sex (her on top). No popping noise, and was able to finish after going down to partial erection then hard again. Hurt like hell to pee afterwards, but I don't think there was blood in the urine (it was a dark room and I like an idiot didn't check). Now I have a bend to the left (already had a bit of a congenital one few degrees but this is worse 10-15) which I perceive to have gotten a bit worse but that might be the mind. No palpable plaque that I can feel, bit of hardness. Have lost a bit of girth for sure, and when it is flaccid sometimes there is an hourglass. I have flaccid pain but not pain when erect, this is odd but has improved a bit. Had an ultra sound done recently while flaccid which found something on the left side (injury) but impression was that it is a resolving hemotoma superficial to fascia. I take a lot of vitamins (e of course) and amino acids, and recently started pentox (but I may stop soon due to stomach pain). I also use cannabis and cbd oil regularly now in response to the psych stress and pain (no I was not influenced when this happened, completely sober - had never used). Confounding this all I have an anxiety disorder which I managed with rigorous exercise, but after the injury it hurt to get blood flowing down there so I was worried I'd make things worse - didn't exercise. Hello anxiety disorder I had been managing well, here's a HUGE thing to deal with! Now I rely on medical cannabis and to a lesser extent Xanax (maybe this is relevant who knows but information is information).

So now I'm wondering if this is going to get better, resolve or what? Most of the scientific literature surrounding this disease is focused on older males who this spontaneously happens to, possibly from an old injury, but not younger guys who this happens to after a fresh injury. So for me it is difficult to develop a good prognosis based on current research.

My Doctor history. Within 3 days saw a urologist who said it was nothing and would be fine in a few days. He was wrong. Saw another who said that it was serious, scared the crap out of me and confused me considering that the first doc was all roses. So yes i reluctantly went to a third doc and he said that it would be fine. *facepalm* Everyone is either completely dismissive or alarmist. So I went to a fourth which I had to wait for a month to see. HE is supposedly really good. Tells me it is an injury and likely will resolve pain wise, but the bend is likely to remain the same. He however was not a peyronies expert, and did not do any imaging tests. After months of nothing I found a doctor recently who specialises in peyronies. I go to him and in the physical examination I feel he hurt me (pressed pretty hard on the injury site). After I had more pain than usual and have perceived a worsening of the curve, although objectively it might not be any worse. I did get a pentox script from him, and had an Ultrasound done. So now I have the Ultrasound and am in the same boat.

Through all this I've lost a lot. Fitness, girlfriend, laughter. Really only gained weight (10 pounds) and an appreciation for how good I had it pre dick hurt days.

I'm open to any suggestions, and I will answer any question.
Cheers

Your story is not unique. Have many doctors out there that don't care too much about the patients and they knowledge is very limited.
In addition to the Pentox you got (how much per day?) I am proposing you to take low dose Cialis and start VED.
The above treatment helped me, even started 3 years after the onset.
Sooner you will start, better chances for good results.
Regarding VED, pump to the level you feel comfortable and no pain.
Proposing you to write a PM to Old Man, he is our expert on VED

Hi Mkmike,

thanks for sharing.
The story was similar for me, traumatic injury beginning of 2016, same position, no instant loss of erection, clueless uros, etc.

* My first uro pressed hard on the pain site during examination while flaccid. It hurt like hell for a week. During acute phase this is totally possible, but it diminished afterwards.
* The thing that helped supplement-wise with pain was Acetyl-L-carnitine. Get yourself around 1-2g a day, if you don't experience any side effects (I didn't).
* Since starting VED my flaccid pain has gone away mostly and the flexibility of the tissue is restoring (more dynamic during the day). I would really recommend to get yourself on the routines explained in the VED subforum. James advice is heads on, though I may mention that when first using VED there may be some mild stinging, that, if coupled with anxiety, may lead to a panic reaction. Stop it then and continue later on / other day. It takes some time to get your "VED legs".
* The pain WILL GET BETTER. It takes an awful long time though. I'm one year in and seeing improvement only recently. Be patient and optimistic.
* It is good you counter your anxiety issues. This brings a whole lot bunch of other problems to the table. Try meditation, it has helped me to some extend. I'm an advocate for CBD usage for anxiety, so that should be okay in my opinion. Xanax however, and other benzos also, will lead to a tolerance that may produce anxiety when not taken. So be very conservative with those medications and only for acute flare ups of anxiety.

Get well soon!

Thank You for your reply. For Pentox I was prescribed 400mg X3 a day. I had a bad reaction to it two days ago and stopped for a bit, will start again in a day or so (felt lightheaded and had a bit of chest pain). I believe that it in combination with a few other supplements (l-arginine mainly) was just too much. I will take your advice on the VED, looking for a good unit now (I will PM Old Man). I will talk to Uro about Cialis, I hadn't thought of that. I am still able to get an erection but it isn't like before, and everything I have read says more bloodflow to the area is better. Crazy how just one thing can have such repercussions.

Thank you so much. And thank you for your concern about benzos and anxiety. I have just started (two days ago) attempting to run. So far no crazy pain! Soreness but not out of the ordinary. I can't run like before but it has already had a big improvement on mood. Running has always been a sort of meditation (used to go 3 miles minimum a day). I too am extremely worried about benzo addiction so I limit it to extreme situations only, where cannabis would get me fired but I can't miss work. I can't wait to get off it all! I value my intelligence, and anti anxiety anything puts me in such a fog that any good feeling is coupled with this temporary mental haze (and in the case of xanax depression after it wears off). Although I have a diagnosed illness, i imagine a lot of guys feel the same way. The psychological component of this is huge.
Thank you for your advice on VED, particularity that bit where it may not be pleasant in the beginning. I will read more into it on here, and be very cautious in the beginning. I thought about traction as well, but it seems a lot of people have had success with just the VED alone. I also read (and maybe it's been posted on here already) about using heat therapy in combination with the VED. The idea is that it softens the tissues and makes them more malleable, but I'm not sure how true that is (especially in the acute phase). I've been doing hot epson baths and the indention is not as noticeable for a few hours after so maybe there's something to it.
I wonder for you what did the injury look like after the incident? For me it looked more or less normal for a few days, slight indentation that I could see (but not my ex or Uro) then I had some slight bruising. The initial bend was maybe 5 degrees, just a bit off the congenital one, but now it is about 15 degrees. There is an indentation too which is more noticeable when flaccid than erect. I'm wondering if you have the same thing or similar considering we both had injuries. If you want to PM me to talk about this that's cool too!
Thanks!

Have a research in the Library that says combination of Pentox with low dose Cialis works better than Pentox alone.
If you have ED, 5 mg, don't have ED 2.5 mg. Can cut the pills to come out cheaper.
Regarding Pentox, start with one 400 mg per day that your body will get used to it, after 7 to 10 days increase to 2*400 mg, after an other 7 - 10 days increase to 3*400 mg daily
Take always with meal!!!
Last one some 4 hours before sleep

Hey,

Good to hear running is getting better. Always keep the good moments present in your mind ;)

After the injury I had slight bruising, no swelling. I tried to get an erection the next day and it wasn't working like before (delayed). But this could be psychological. About two weeks in I noticed an indentation on the underside. It then progressed over months to a 20° curvature. I first noticed the curve when masturbating and produced a varicocele on the other side due to the increased friction. Never had that before. I now think the lymph vessels were also impaired by the injury.
And also I was missing on nighttime erections. After I got cialis it improved but was painful first.

I though about this recently. Erection quality was never good for me since early adulthood (17-18). Maybe something was already there and progressed further. Lying on my back is causing erections to fade away, which was also reason for the injury.

VED is helping me with indentation and tight tissue. It softened. I also wrap a hot wet towel in the evening. It has helped with pain and hard flaccid. Pocket warmers did not work for me as they were irritating and scratching on the skin.

If you want to ask something via pm, just do. I will reply with a small delay ;)
