Repair ideas Augusta 3 cylinder model
« on: March 20, 2017, 09:43:23 PM »

Hello again folks! I have a Augusta Medical/SOMAerect STF unit that broke where the handle attaches to a "T" inside the head unit.  This "T" houses a plastic pin that is the pivot point for the handle.  This pivot point and surrounding plastic broke apart.  The handle did NOT break.

Has anyone used the parts from the head unit of one of these and attached a manual vacuum.  The head unit comes apart in three sections.  Bottom, middle, top.  Each section is held togeather with three 5/64 hex screws.  The bottom section which attaches to the Lexan plastic looks like it could take a metal nipple where a person could attach a manual pump, similar to those used for brake bleeding.  If you haven't taken one of these apart, all the above will be completely foreign to you.  Augusta refused to give me a replacement head unit.

Hopefully you will never have to take yours apart.

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks again people!
