Do I Have Peyronie's?

About 5 weeks ago I had a woman/masseuse masturbate my penis. She was very rough when she did it, squeezing her thumb tightly on the left side of my shaft. 2 weeks went by and while I had some pain coming and going I didn't think much about it. I then realized that where she had put her thumb, I didn't actually get erect at that spot anymore. I laid off all masturbation for 3 straight weeks. Here is how it looks today:

+ Penis has had at least two blood vessels broken/ruptured, with quite a lot of blood around them. Basically the whole left side of the penis has a brown spot from the blood.

+ The penis is curved slightly to the left when flaccid, because that side just isn't "filled up" as it was usually.

+ This "not being filled up" also occurs when erect, although it's not so bad. However, I can see that I've lost both girth and length of the penis.

+ There is a small spot, just where the blood vessel had broken (the big one on the left side of the shaft), it is a small brown spot with wrinkled skin. It basically looks like a piece of the tissue has "died" here.

I am of course very worried. Will my penis return back to normal? What can I do?

I am willing to see the best Doctor and get the best treatment. After reading the forums I purchased L-Arginine, Vitamin E, Colchicine, Pentoxifylline and Cialis at the local pharmacy (I am in Africa on vacation, so no need for prescription). However, I am hesitant to start taking them as I don't know whether this is Peyronie's or not. It may just be that the blood vessels haven't healed yet, and this is the reason the penis is working properly. If I take Pentoxifylline it may just increase or cause further bleeding? I would appreciate tips on good Doctors preferably in Europe where I can do an ultrasound and find out what it is.

EDIT: I'm thinking I will start the Pentox tomorrow. Probably couldn't cause any harm?

Not better to see a specialist first?
maybe is not Peyronies?

James
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

I don't think the meds will cause any harm.

I would get to a doctor, as James said this could be something completely different. Don't just assume it is Peyronies.

After more research I think the issue is Mondor's disease, just with burst blood vessels on top of it. So Peyronie's probably hasn't developed yet, and therefore I will do everything I can to not let it happen.

I will try to get a specialist on the phone and ask them about my regimen. According to my research, if Mondor hasn't solved itself after 6 weeks, surgery is recommended. 6 weeks has actually gone by, although I've only been abstinent from sex/masturbation for 3 weeks (which I also put an end to as of today). Hopefully they can confirm a regimen I can do from home for another 3-4 weeks before I visit their clinic to do a doppler/Ultrasound. By then it may be time for surgery anyway (if it hasn't healed yet).

Good thing is that Pentox seems to work equally well for Mondor's as it does for Peyronie's (and hindering it from developing). All I should probably add is an anti-inflammatory cream with Hiparin. I have also found that hot baths have been working good so far, at least superficially... however I was starting to get hesitant as I know heat can increase inflammation. Any thoughts on that?

JayGould

So after just a day on Pentox the redness/inflammation has gone down considerably. And I can now see (and feel) pretty clearly that I have scar tissue. It's about 10x5mm in size. Scar tissue = Peyronie's? I must have damaged the Tunica.

I will continue taking the Pentox, 1200mg per day. I also take Coq-10, Vitamin E and Vitamin C. Anything else I can do? I bought some anticoagulant and antiinflammatory topical cream (Heparin & Hirudin), any point in using it?

When should I start using a traction device?

Today I went to a Urologist that is named on this forum. I flew 6 hours to see him.

He did not even want to look at me. He said, before I even showed him: "There is nothing wrong with you, you can't physically get less blood flow on one side of the penis compared to the other". He then injected me with something into the penis, not sure what it was as it did not give me an erection. Then he quickly did the ultrasound (while my penis was flaccid) and again said: "You are perfectly healthy".

I then asked: "If I am perfectly healthy, how come my penis is crooked about 20 degrees to the left? How come the left side doesn't get erect at all?"

Him: "Nonsense! You are HEALTHY! The kind of fibrosis you had can either be there because of smoking (which I dont do) or anxiety, not because of damage"

Me: "But can I at least show you how it looks? Can I show you the blood etc"?

Him: "No, I don't want to see. Good bye!"

That was it.

How can he say that there is nothing wrong if he didn't even look at the injured part?

Adam

The doctor you have visited is just compassionless. Try to find someone else.

Regards Adam

JayGould

I'm not sure if he was compassionless. I think he may have said this because he thinks that there may be nothing to do, so might as well try to reduce my anxiety about it. But it didn't really have that effect because now I don't know whether I should continue taking Pentox, L-Arginine etc. or even what the problem is. There is a visible scar on the outside of the skin, and this prevents the dick from getting fully erect. It also makes it curved by about 20-30 degrees when flaccid.

It could be a scar in the skin only. Then it probably would heal itself. Or it could be in the tunica. But who knows since the Doc didn't want to investigate or even look at it.

I'm just bummed out because I've spent more than €1500 on this trip (3 nights hotel, plus air fare and Doc appointment). I now have a return ticket for tomorrow morning and I don't know whether I should trash that and hope to get another appointment by another Uro.

Btw the needle he used to stick me with was really huge and caused a lot of pain. Hope it won't make it worse.

If it is only curved when flaccid, it is likely not Peyronie's.  Meanwhile, consider a good Magnesium Chloride supplement, as most of us are Magnesium deficient and Magnesium deficiency is related to excessive/erroneous scar tissue formation.  Also be sure and get an erection daily to make sure that the Tunica is extended to its natural "expanded" state at least once a day, but treat your member with care so as not to aggravate any injury you have.  If you have damaged blood vessels, it may require a surgical repair, and while it may interfere greatly with sex, it is not likely actually Peyronie's.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Well it's not crooked when erect, but it's like a piece of the left side is missing.

The Doc told me not to worry about veins btw, he said that veins have no function in the penis. Thought that was a weird comment. If they have no function then why are they there?

Anyway I am extremely angry right now. I knew I shouldn't have gone to see a Doctor. They are all just quacks and usually do more harm than good. I now know nothing more than I knew earlier today, and I just have pain from the injection he made with his huge needle (at least 23 gauge, but looked bigger than that). Is that even normal to have pain from the needle 8 hours after?

I completely disagree with the idea that an acquired flaccid curve is not Peyronies. This is the classic lie average urologists tell men, and then those men go in to develop erect bends later. This was what happened to me.

If you have ANY changes in your penis shape after an injury, that is Peyronie's, since the treatment is no different than someone with severe Peyronie's. Penile damage is penile damage, however you want to call it. Let your penis rest for a week or more. Start treating this rigorously and from all angles. You may be able to reduce the dent in time as I did with traction, VED, supplements, and careful and limited masturbation or sex.

Perhaps there is a difference between early Peyronies hematomas or damaged areas and scarring itself, but I don't see how to changes any of the implications.

Needles hurt for a while after and should be avoided for risk of further damage, even though it's unlikely. Treat your injury as you would a broken arm, and do not trust any normal urologist.
