Hi I am approx 18 months into this. Started with small island of plaque which caused an alarming bend towards the end and was painful. Now no pain but plaque seems to have spread along full length causing a 30 degree bend about half way up, which at least looks less strange. Seen two urologists who seem to favour a wait-and-see approach... Now I am trying to be a bit more proactive and looking at private care options. Any advice welcome.

I can highly recommend Mr Tim Whittlestone, Consultant Urologist in Bristol. I think he does both private and NHS consultations.

I saw him for the first time this week and travelled down from the Midlands having found very little in the way of Peyronie's experienced urologists locally.

@rinsed - what treatments did you get from Mr Whittlestone and did he do a doppler scan? I noticed in the other thread you said he was keen to tackle this early on and not wait.

@rich68.....really sorry for the late reply, I've not been on here in a while.

Actually I've been trying not to dwell on the condition and just get on with life. I was finding constantly reading on here was getting me too obsessive.

In answer to your question, he gave me a physical examination and identified some minor plaques and prescribed Pentox 1200mg per day and Cialis 5mg per day.

3 months on and I'm virtually pain free and with little advance in curvature.

No problem! I know what you mean about taking some time away to give your mind a break from it all. I am just catching up after a few weeks away from the site.

Thanks for the info, it's good to know that you may have halted the progression.
