Has anyone tried doing *nothing at all*?

Am about a year into the acute stage (30-40 degree bend and erection pain) and frightened by some accounts of Xiaflex injections and terrified of surgery. I'm taking Pentox and Vitamin E, and am dubious about any stretching methods - don't want to make any scarring worse than it already is.

Has anybody tried, or even better had any success with just leaving their penis alone (no masturbation, no sexual activity) and trying to let it heal naturally? I know that scar tissue usually eventually dissolves and I'm hoping that being an otherwise healthy guy in his mid thirties this isn't an unrealistic hope. The idea of being totally non-sexual for a year or two isn't very appealing but compared to the other potential treatments I'm seriously considering it.

No treatment for 3 years at the onset.
The results:
1. Lost 6.5 cm
2. Lost 50% of the girth
3. Severe deformities
4. Severe ED

But you may be different

Yikes :-( Sorry, that sounds horrendous. Were you taking Pentox and abstaining from sexual activity for all that time?

Most people do nothing, and it does not work out well for them.

If you do nothing and it heals, it wasn't Peyronie's.

Scar tissue doesn't eventually dissolve.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

I was taking Pentox but NOT abstaining from sex.
Some forum members think that is better to abstain, I am from the other school that think:
"Use it or Lose it"

Hi struggling,

I think im in a similar case than you...almost one year at the onset. I have 30 left and 25 upward curvature...more or less...

All I can say is that before going to xiaflex or surgery...(I wish not) I will try all I can to fight against that thing. But carefully.

Its been 5 month taking E vitamin, and almost 4 taking pentox. It doesnt hurt to me apparently so I will keep on taking it. Besides of all I take magnesium. Thats my base of treatment.

I started DMSO treatment 2 weeks ago, and I have no idea if its gonna work...I hope to see any results or not in some months...This weekend I ordered a PF traction device, and Ultrasound machine in order to make more things. TRaction is well recommended on this fórum and US has a lot of benefits for skin care and scars treatment. So Im gonna try.

About abstinence, I would say you have to be gently and change your mind...I actually changed it...but I try to have sex...I guess all depends about your case, pain, curvature...

So, the point is....dont stop studying, and finding solutions to fight this condition. I dont think if you stop this thing can heal by itself...I agree with Neo.

Try to be positive and fight. But carefully and understanding all treatments and person are different.

Regards.

I did try all oral madalities during the first yeat with little succes (last an inch). After I stopped any oral medication and LIMITED sexual activity + meditation practice - it seems to be stabilised or progression is very little...

I do not feel any help from Pentox having tried it for several months. I think if Pentox REALLY and SIGNIFICANTLY helped this forum would not exist..

Oral medication definitely helps psychologically ("I am doing something!")
Born 1985, Peyronie's since 2011/12. Lost approximately 3 cm of length and seriously bottlenecked.

I'm tempted to agree about Pentox - I've been taking it for 9 months and I've seen no improvement whatsoever - in fact it's got worse. The erection pain has been too acute for sexual intercourse for nearly a year now; and it's got to the point where any benefits of masturbation are totally outweighed by how much it hurts. I still get spontaneous erections several times a day (and night) and just have to wait them out. My doctor has no experience of using Xiaflex on somebody still in the acute stage so my primary concern now is trying to avoid doing anything that could aggravate existing scarring or create new scarring and just hope that at some point the pain goes away :-(
