Detailed very first symptoms.
« on: January 13, 2017, 05:14:49 PM »

Hello,

I start this topic because on all websides, dosent matter if from a urologist or just a regular webside, on all this websides is the same stuff written.
First sign is plaque, pain and a bend.
Nothing else.
I have no idea what this things mean. Is every uneven thing what we can feel a plaque?
So my question and the main reason i start this topic is:

From real people who suffer Peyronies Disease:
The first sign, how was it? The first plaque, did you noticed this when flaccid or erect?
How was the plaque feeling? More like its a part of the body or more like something different?
Did it hurt when you touched it? Was it hard or soft? Or did it changed depending on erection level?
How much time passed between the first symptoms and the bend?
How painfull was the pain from 1 up to 10?
I could continue 1000 more questions. But i hope you understand what i like to do with this topic!? In a few sentences, please tell all the scared people out there how your first symptoms looked like.
And of course if somebody is not sure if he has Peyronies Disease he should go to a doctor but as we all know, often all they say is maybe or even wors, the say yes or no but they have no idea. My last visit is the best example: i told him my symptoms and than he said this is Peyronies Disease, than he did a ultrasound and noticed a thicker tissue but no plaque, so he said: i dont think its Peyronies Disease.
And on the end he gave me a prespriction for podaba told me take 40 pills every day.
Fu... He....

So please help me and others to find out how likely my symptoms fit to Peyronies Disease or not.

Thanks and all the best hans
Thanks a lot and all the best

Hans,

I'll go out on a very short limb and say that most people on this forum had no idea such a thing "Peyronies" even existed prior to developing symptoms. Not everybody will have the same symptoms. Some people will have pain others won't, while some people will get severe ED. Also, in many cases, like my case, I had to think long and hard to how I may have injured myself and it isn't like it develops over night.

The most obvious sign to anybody that something isn't quite right is the fact that their penis develops a curve.  As for feeling the plaque, what I notice on mine is that the location of the plaque is a more or less flat spot on my shaft at the point of where my curve starts. You should have, under normal conditions, a smooth curve along the entire shaft if you were to feel around the girth of your penis. Identify the point at which your curve occurs and feel for a change in the underlying tissue being more flattened. It took me a little while to be able to identify the feeling of the plaque.

As for me, once I noticed a curve, it was just about 5-10 degrees when I woke up one morning. The next day my wife and I had sex and the curve was definitely 30 degrees plus and became 50, which is what it stabilized at prior to my using Xiaflex. I would say from the first noticed minor curve to 50 degrees was about 3-4 weeks; however, I would say my injury was 3-4 weeks prior to first noticing any curve.

I have never experienced any pain from the plaque whether flaccid, erect or ejaculating. So, I am fortunate because many people have pain.

Keep in mind not everybody experiences symptoms the same; something may work for one person and not another. As far as treatment is concerned, you need to see a specialist. There is a section on the forum that guide people to specialists in their area.

Good Luck

Hans;

As Quackattack says, no two cases of Peyronies are identical. Symptoms can vary somewhat.

For me, the first sign was pain getting an erection. I had virtually zero pain flaccid. The curve developed later. I had no idea what was happening, neither did my local GP who it seems had not a clue about Peyronies.

If you are unhappy with your Urologist, find another one. There are several Germany. Or, if you have insurance or can afford to pay for private treatment, you could contact Dr Franklin Kuehhas in Vienna. He is primarily a surgeon, but also an Andrologist.

From real people who suffer Peyronies Disease:
The first sign, how was it? The first plaque, did you noticed this when flaccid or erect?

You might see some symptoms while partially erect, or while getting an erection. You would see the full impact of curvature when fully erect. When flacid I couldn't tell any difference.

How was the plaque feeling? More like its a part of the body or more like something different?
Did it hurt when you touched it? Was it hard or soft? Or did it changed depending on erection level?

I didn't know what Peyronies was, or what caused it. My erection seemed the same to me. I didn't know the plaque/scar was causing the curvature.

How painfull was the pain from 1 up to 10?
I could continue 1000 more questions. But i hope you understand what i like to do with this topic!? In a few sentences, please tell all the scared people out there how your first symptoms looked like.

I never had a lot of pain, maybe a 3 and only when I had a strong erection. What causes the pain is that you erection is pulling to be straight, but the plaque is preventing it from straightening. My first signs was I had a 40 degree bend that developed within a few days. Over several months the pain stopped by the curvature increased to about 75 degrees.

I would say for anyone who develops a change or new curvature in their erection should consider Peyronies and find a doctor/specialist for a proper diagnosis.

Hello Hans,

According to the very first symtpoms in my case, I could write now:
- a little softer and shorter (in time) erections
- less ejaculation
- a little pain in erection
- observed deformation in two points of penis
- felt induration (when flaccid) in points where I had seen deformations.

Best regards,
Krzysztof
