OK .this is my first post,Fast back ground >I noticed a small pea like lump under lower half, top side of penis in feb 2016,,, didn't do anything ,lump went away ,recently (2mts) notice a slight dent on right side of penis and it is bendy across that area and curves slightly to right when erect, no girth lost.....Saw a Uro.Dr. dec .21.16 he said yes its P.Ds in the first stage (12mts) and that he felt plaque and that I should get some Vit.E and to wait and see till june (18mts)  to see what happens....Im trying to keep this post short so I haven't added a lot of detail but Im NOT waiting till June to do anything... And then I found this site so I am looking into the basic simple steps that others have done as the chronic stage time comes .I have used protein powder in the past for injuries. I am a steelworker and have had burns ,lifting heavy objects injuries etc .I  have used Unjury medical quality protein powder.....Is protein powder ok to add to the short list. Thanks Happy New Year...BTW I have made a appointment with another Dr.

veda:

I highly disagree with the diagnosis you got from your uro when he said; Take vitamin E, wait 6 months and come back to see me.

My advice is this: RUN, NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. He is definitely the doctor you need to assist you with your case of Peyronies Disease. There is a list of doctors listed in the home page index threads/topics that shows known qualified uros specializing in Peyronies Disease therapy, so do some research there.

Also, I am sure that other members will be posting with similar advice. So get busy to find a uro with Peyronies Disease knowledge!!

Old Man
Age 92. Peyronies Disease at age 24, Peyronies Disease after
stage four radical prostatectomy in 1995, Heart surgery 2004 with three bypasses/three stents.
Three more stents in 2016. Hiatal hernia surgery 2017 with 1/3 stomach reduction. Many other surgeries too.

Old Man is right. Assuming his diagnosis is correct, waiting is about the worst thing you can do.

Vie E won't do you any harm, but equally it will do very little to treat Peyronies. Look at the most used and recommended oral treatments here. ALC, Citrulline malate, CoQ10 or preferably Ubiquinol.

If you can find another, far more Peyronies aware Uro, ask for Pentox and low dose Cialis prescriptions.

I'd also suggest you consult the sections on traction and VED. Both can prove helpful in mitigating curvature and maintaining penile health,

I'll chime in and say that if your URO said take Vit E, i.e. the plain old off the shelf stuff with all of the Tocopherols consist of 4 types of vitamin E, alpha, beta, gamma, and delta and all of the tocotrienols alpha, beta, gamma and delta you are taking a synthetic pile of garbage. According to Dr. Sherry Rogers, MD the garbage form of Vitamin E will drive cancer in your body.

Change the doctor!
Vitamin E don't help with Peyronies!
Also "wait 6 months" is a dangerous approach!

James
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

'Wait and see' is the most common and most damaging advice you can get with regards to Peyronie's. Early intervention works best.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.
