Nighttime erections are the cause of my Peyronies. To be specific, the fetal position. The legs trap blood in the penis and blood pressure spikes...you end up with blood vessel damage, fibrosis, and so on. Rise and repeat.

Has anyone looked into this? Are there any methods - drugs, devices, otherwise - that might prevent erections during sleep?

Yellow Fever, I am going to try sleeping on my back after your comment as I too tend to sleep in the fetal position  :-\
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Yep, I have erections all night long when I wake enough to realize I'm in the fetal position. To lay on my back isn't much better. To deflate one of these puppies, I've learned that I can lay on my back AND bend my knees -- you know that position, you're in bed with your spouse, and one of you bends knees up and lifts the blankets. That position. Usually takes a minute or two for deflation.

But, I do not see how having an erection like this could cause Peyronie's. I could be wrong, but on first assessment of this notion it doesn't make sense to me. But, then again, no one on the planet can state inarguably what causes Peyronie's.

CAN I ASK HOW THIS TOPIC BELONGS TO the Alternative Treatments of Peyronies Disease???
Why can't open topics on the relevant boards???
Irresponsibly posting make to forum not helpful to people that really need it!!!

Are you serious? I totally get the fetal position applying more stress thing and I notice it too ever since I developed peyronie's symptoms, but the solution is simple.. lie on your back. Erections at night are actually a good thing. bloodflow is good and it's a natural thing for males to get nighttime erections and not getting them would probably increase the chance of scarring rather than prevent it. It's just an indication of good testosterone levels, bloodflow and overall health. Everything that kills your nighttime erections is probably going to do more harm than good to your overall health.
