Xiaflex Treatment

Looking into getting the treatment. I am trying to figure out actual doctor/physician costs vs the cost of the Xiaflex itself. Anyone recently had the treatment and know their total "out of pocket"? My insurance covers 80% and I know the cost of the Xiaflex per cycle, etc but having difficulty getting the urologist's staff person to get me the doctor's costs.

According to NY Urology Specialists, you are looking at ~$3,500 per cycle and there are 6-8 cycles. I go in for the start of Cycle 2 on Friday. I am very fortunate that I am covered totally by TriCare military insurance. I will say that I have noticed some rounding out of the curve after the first cycle. I started at 50 degrees and I would say that I am somewhere in the neighborhood of 45 degrees + or - right now, but my curve isn't as abrupt. For what it's worth, I think it is worth trying.

My insurance covered 80% also. My out of pocket for the injections where about $550 each visit before the deductible was met here in Atlanta. Xiaflex is slow to bill, so expect to meet your deductible with the Dr, not the pharmacy.
