Hello my friends, So after 20 years of living with peyronies and a 70 degree curve to the right I finally went through with the surgery(Corporal Penile Graft) after verapamil shots, Xiiaflex and other treatments that were in affective over the years. I'm gonna try to keep a time line of my recovery for those of you who are thinking about considering surgery. I know it can get frustrating trying to find information on exactly the same condition your dealing with. Hopefully this will help someone else get a better understanding of a real life statistic rather than hear say. Never did a log before but i'll do my best..

DAY 1: 1 1/2 surgery with another 2 hour observation. Taking a piss is alittle uncomfortable but tolerable. Massive swelling and black and blue around the pubic region. Numbness at the tip of my dick. Really soar when I sit down I have to move real slow.  A lot of blood on the under side of the bandage. Doc said I can remove bandage in 2 days and leave it off. I have a follow up with the doc in 7-10 days (Dr. Sherwinn Zargaroff) Plantation FL, He's a peyronies specialist. I'll keep you guys posted along the way to recovery...

I look forward to your recovery! My thoughts are with you as you deal with the swelling and pain.

Thank you all for your concerns.  Really appreciate the kind words !!!!

Day 2. Nov 3rd. 2016.   Still swollen and sleep was not easy to get but it's not too bad so far.   Pretty much what I expected from a surgery of this magnitude. Already felt the sign of a nauctunal erection.   It made me jump off the couch.  Lol.  It's good to know everything is still working down there.   I'll keep you all posted as necessary.!!! Thanks UB

Hope it all goes well for you!

Don't be too concerned. After my surgery my dick looked like it had been run over by a truck.

It will improve, but slowly. Patience will be essential..

Thanks for the warning Jocobin, Its looks like my dick was ran over by a truck..lol  !!!!
Day 4: Nov 5th 2015, Unwrapped the bandage as advised by my doc and to no surprise was a sight that was pretty scarry. No pain just a lot of pressure and a few drops of blood at first. I have been applying bacitracin ointment around the circumcision line where the stitches are. Its far to soon to tell if the curve is corrected due the the major swelling around the head of my dick and underneath the skin where the graft was applied. I'm going to remain optimistic and pray I don't have anymore night time erections. That's my biggest worry at this point because that's the one thing I can't control and causes the most pain. I felt a lot more confident when the bandage way tightly wrapped. Now I can see everything and its mentally stressful awaiting the recovery process. I'll keep posting my progression as time goes by. Thanks UB

Hey UnBent,

You say you had a corporal penile graft. So does this mean your scarring was corpus Cavernosum scarring? Just wondering because I have cavernosum scarring without a tunica plaque.

Thanks.

UnBent

Hey Frisky, When I asked the doctor what the name of the surgery was he said it was a corporal penile graft. All I know is the scar tissue was on the right side of right penis causing a 75 degree curve to the right with hour glass disfigurement. I could feel a hard like shell along the right side of my penis if I tried to straighten out my penis while it was erect.  he told me he had to do a gloving procedure and removed the scar tissue along the right side and repaired the hour glass with a graft made from human heart tissue that was given by a doner. There was no scarring inside the uretha which he said would make the surgery easier. After the surgery he mentioned he had to use a fairly good size graft to repair the area. I'll ask him tomorrow when I call him just to verify if my situation is similar to yours since I have t call him anyways. I'm happy to try to help out a fellow victim to this troublesome condition. Been to so many urologist who didn't now anything till I found Dr Sherwin Zargaroff who said thi surgery is something he does a lot of.  Ill be in touch. God Bless,

Report: Nov 6th 2015, Returned to work not much difference in pain or swelling to report but I can tell the body is healing slowly but surely. Just really uncomfortable and a lot of pressure. No major pain though.. Looks nasty tho!!! Much expected

Thanks dude.

Im contemplating an implant in the future, but I am keeping my options open.

Day 7: Nov 8th 2015 Swelling is 60 % gone)).  Really started to heal up quick and take form.   Only real problem I'm having is trying to subdue nighttime erections. They hurt really bad and I'm afraid I'm gonna damage something.   But so far so good.  I can tell I'm straight now. No more 70 degree curve.  Illl keep you guys posted on progress as needed. Got a follow up with my doc next Monday.  Thanks to all for your support.

Question: I am having some difficulty finding anyone who had Excision and Grafting and post months after?  I am hoping it's because life is good again!  I am going to do the surgery, simply because I'm at the end of my rope.  I am so afraid of having a completely straight penis that don't work! I have excellent erections now but unfortunately with a 60 degree ventral curve, hourglassing and a 30 degree curve to the right.  (Frankenstein has a better looking dick I'm sure) so if anyone can give me some encouraging news I would certainly be appreciative..

I had successful excision and grafting but also needed an implant due to severe Erectile Dysfunction.  Now, 6 months later it's well healed straight and Thxs to implant functions better than a teenager!  Haha

Well fellas, it's officially one week post op. Everything seems to be healing accordingly. Couple of notes I'd like to share. After surgery honestly you feel nothing, however, when it comes time to leave they want a sample of pee, this unfortunately (and for the next several days) will be the biggest obstacle! When I say you pee like an old time sprinkler and the pain that accompanied this is like something that's almost indescribable! When they tell you you'll feel a little burning sensation, what they neglect to say it a burning feeling from a blow torch!  Good news after the third day it's almost all gone. The best description of what you will look like is the way I read in a post on this site, "your dick will look like it's been run over by a truck". It's true!  Now I don't want to scare anybody, instead just the opposite, if you were anything like me, this curse has simply destroyed you as a man both mentally and physically. And no matter what I can go through to fix it well "F it" .  So desperate to be me again!  Anyway, sorry I digress, here it is one week  and one day later, the last three days I've been woken up at least three times each night with nocturnal erections. And even though they were insanely painful it was a beautiful welcome home nonetheless!  Now yes they aren't as hard as I would like however I am positive just like any surgery on any muscle rehab will be needed so painful but "F yeah" encouraging!  I am so excited to start being me again!  And if the Dr was telling the truth because of the graphing I will be an full inch longer!  Now I was perfectly happy where I was (always the proudest part of me) but I won't look a gift horse-well you know what I mean.. I am very encouraged about the future. I have read that some surgeries fail after the first few months but I did find one story that was a beautiful and encouraging story calling himself Peyronies Free!  I will deal with anything that is ahead of me and will do it with a smile because I now know I've done everything that is available to fight this horrible affliction!  I want to keep lines open with everyone and anyone that has gone or is going through this, This disease must have more attention to it, I believe it is much bigger than they say simply because of how I kept it to myself because of what it does to your mind. I actually woke up everyday wishing I had cancer instead (I know, but before you judge) I figured that if I had cancer or some other dreadful disease I could wrap my head around it more easily, I could rationalize it with some type of logic, I smoked, I was unhealthy, I did this or that and that's why this happened but to simply wake up one day and be ashamed, embarrassed of the way you look as a man for no reason (that you can remember)  or that you start to hate the way you lived your life because of the time you wasted not banging everything in sight. To stay up night after night thinking you'll never get a chance to again.  Now I know how selfish and somewhat stupid this may sound but if you are reading this post and you're on this page you most likely will understand. I am by in no means comparing the other dreadful things that can happen but to be perfectly healthy and lose the ability to be a man (sexually) is the most painful nightmare come true for me.  I can't explain the amount of fantasies I have had during my manhood and like the lottery it was just that fantasies. But the lottery fantasies you'll always have because you can always play.  I'm not saying that I could've or would've acted on those fantasies but to take that away from a healthy young man.   Anyway again sorry, I digress once again.    I will keep you posted as to the progression of this recovery.
Thanks for listening
