Hello. New member and first post. Looking for some insight into something that has me very confused and uneasy.

46 year old male. Had two incidents that led to symptoms that made me think Peyronies. One in June after Tri Mix injection (only did 8 total and have stopped since) and one in August during sex with wife. June is self explanatory and August was simply the most painful ejaculation I have ever had. There was nothing during sex with wife out of the ordinary and no penis injury like you sometimes here of that leads to Peyronies Disease.

Saw urologist soon after due to shrunken and atrofied Flacid that was often hard. Also have tremendous pain in Flacid (burning/numbness) and curve to left with indention halfway up the shaft with Flacid. He gave me Cipro, Pentox, and Piroxicsm for inflammation. Ordered a Duplex Doppler for September 12th. Dr. Who performed has done close to 1000 and was awesome. Talked to me the whole time. Examined Flacid and Erect ((Caverjact induced). Here were some of the findings directly from report.

"Complete normal arterial inflow with peak velocity 45cm/s. In the Flacid state I saw no evidence of any plaque consistent with underlying Peyronie's disease. In the erect state there was some increased echogenicity and a very small area at the base and mid penile shaft on the back wall of the left corpora. No penile curvature or hourglass deformity in the erect state."

Since then I have seen two additional urologists that upon examination felt no plaque and said nothing appeared to be Peyronies. 2nd one said to stop Pentox. So I should feel like I am in the clear because ultrasound and 3 doctor examinations say no. But here is why I continue to worry:

Still painful Flacid with curve most of the day. Flacid still at reduced size in both length and girth
Hard Flacid often that is painful to touch on both sides.
Left corpora looks and feels smaller than right (not the case prior) especially on the back.
Pain equals zero desire for sex (married 20 years, not good)..
Manual stimulation has me scared to death to injure worse ,so hardly any.
Curve left as penis becomes erect and some indention until 100% erect. Upon erection, girth is less near base than near head  and left side looks lumpy although erection is basically straight.

My questions for the board:

Do you have to have a curve in Erection and a plaque that can be felt to have Petronies? My Ultrasound Dr. Said curve in erection was a must.

What else might could explain all the other symptoms above if not Peyronies? Could extreme inflammation or pelvic/ nerve related issues cause these crazy symptoms and pain? This sure seems like a possible case of Peyronies Disease to me.

Could the Ultrasound have been done too early to pick up anything? In other words, could things have progressed since that did not show up in September?

Any advice on treatments? I started one a day Cialis 2 weeks ago and take Celebrex. Should I jump back on Pentox and maybe consider VED for shrunken Flacid that has curve and indention on left?

This condition has taken me into a bad depression and anxiety that I have never experienced at any point in my life. Since pain is always there, more urinary issues (frequency) and total insomnia. Trying to look for a silver lining or anything to help. Have been seeing therapist with sex therapy practice. Your thoughts, expertise, and opinions are very much appreciated. Maybe someone else has experienced something similar without Peyronies.

Thanks

Hi, I have the same symptoms as you after injuring myself, I had a very painful erection/ejaculation after injuring my penis and I currently have burning/numbness in the right side of my flaccid (although the sensation is gone if I DON'T get erections). My flaccid penis is essentially dead 75% of the time. I have a hard feeling right underneath the glans on the right side of the shaft, I feel like there is scar tissue deeper inside and it's blocking off bloodflow which contributes to the indentation/shrinkage of my flaccid and erections. I just pray that the shrinkage doesn't continue. There is no deformity in the erect state either for me, just decreased girth and the deformity can only be seen in my semi-erect state or when my flaccid isn't hard and dead.

I just saw an urologist and he literally touched my flaccid penis for 3 seconds before telling me I do not have peyronie's plaques and even if they were forming there was nothing he can do. I asked for an ultrasound which is scheduled for next week. Please let me know if you find out anything and I'll let you know as well.

Will do. I dont want to talk myself into this. I think it's the pain and shrinkage (especially Flacid) that has me so worked up. Otherwise, I might just take the results and their findings and move on. Last uro I saw is referring me for pelvic pain/rehab which will start in late November. I guess you can have inflammation without Peyronies. But some of my symptoms are just too much in the grey area for me to be 100% convinced. However, I take comfort in knowing, like you, that nobody has said "yes, you have it." 2 of the 3 Uros  I saw do reconstructive surgery for Peyronies so they obviously have seen a lot. One pulled my Flacid out so far to check that it was literally the size of a pencil. Not fun or pleasant to lookout but I guess he was being thorough which is what you want.

Let me know how the ultrasound goes. Are they doing it both Flacid and erect? I think that is best to cover all bases. And my guy was adamant that if there is no curve or hourglass in erection then you don't have it. But make no mistake, it does look slightly different than it used to.

Best of luck and hope you get positive news. I didn't mention in first post that one circumflex vein had leakage (ironically right where the pain is). However, he said if 10 were the worst it was about a 3, and would only affect me in a certain position. Also said there are so many other veins that he would not consider it to be a showstopper by any means......but I guess good to know some wouldn't think it was mental.

One last thing. These dopplers pick up everything to the millimeter. It may show something small like me, but doesn't necessarily mean Peyronies.
