Hi guys,

Just wondering if any other Canadians on here have received penile prosthesis implants or know what the process is.

I'm definitely leaning towards that option as my problems are only worsening and I've already had 7 sexless years due to this disease. My erections are soft and I get odd deformities and hinging that are a nightmare to behold.

Is it possible that I will have to pay out of pocket and get an American doctor to do it? I'm young so I suppose paying ~$30,000 for the use of your penis is worth it.

Thanks

Justinian

I'm of no use on Canadian issues, but if you find yourself looking in the States for implant ideas, my own research has turned up three male sexual health specialists whose specialty is Peyronie's disease, and who also do implants. Seattle, Baltimore, and California -- all three of whom I would trust my own body to. In fact, I had congenital curvature surgery with the specialist in Seattle in June 2016. The day I was there for my surgery, there were four other guys there for penile implants. Seattle: Dr Thomas Walsh at UW Men's Health. Baltimore: Dr Andrew Kramer at University of Maryland. California: Dr Joel Gelman, Center for Reconstructive Urology. All three are world class, and amazingly, all three specialize in male sexual health, Peyronie's, and implants. LOTS of options.

Good luck.

Justinian,

Where are you located? Can you give us a little more background about the disease your Uro consults?
