Flaccid Pain Questions

Hey Guys,

I am about a month into this disease. At first, everything was very mild. I had some barely noticeable stinging in my urethera leading up to the discovery of peyronies. This was not during urination. I had a full STD test and all are negative. I don't have any other medical issues aside from Panic Disorder (yes, double whammy!). My peyronies is hourglassing (so far) with a slight bend to the left (so far). I had sex a week ago and have been afraid to look at an erection since. I was not too upset with what I saw a week ago.

Anyway, I would appreciate any insight on the following:

While flaccid, I have started to experience a lot more pain. It is starting to have an impact on my social and work life.  It manifests as:
- shooting pains occasionally (a few times a day) down the shaft and into the head.
-Itching where the plaque is
- Radiating pain in the anal area and down the inside of the left leg a bit.
- A harder-to-describe discomfort in the left side that feels deep. Almost as if there is something deep inside the penis that should not be.

I assume that all of this is a sign that the disease is progressing. I desperately want to be proactive and use the VED or traction, but I'm afraid to do so as any activity seems to exacerbate the pain, which I associate with progression.

Does anyone have experience with this?
Sigh. Crazy. One month ago I hadn't even noticed this.

Frank,

Mine came on pretty quickly. It took about two weeks to realize full curvature. I noticed a little bend, maybe 5-10 degrees and though nothing of it. A week later the bend was at its current 45-50 degrees. I had an itching/tingling pain in the glands for a month or two at about the 3 month mark that was slightly painful, but always flaccid. I have fortunately not had pain from an erection or after sex. I would say that the pain is clearly a sign of you being in an active state. This condition will mess with you head, for sure, but you need to keep as positive an attitude as possible.

Traction and VED are beneficial, minimally for erection strength which I noticed was going down until I started traction. I have a SizeGenetics and a Phallosan Forte. If I were to advise on what to get, I would say get the PeniMaster Pro. It has all of the positive features of both the SG and PF traction units. Had I known, that is want I would have purchased at first because you want comfort.

You really need to get to a URO that specializes in peyronies. If you are fortunate, you live close enough to Chicago to go see Dr. Levine.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure that's good advice. It really is scary when the pain ramps up, especially flaccid, in that I think we start imagining what might be happening because of it. I know flaccid pain does not occur in every case.

I am waiting to see a specialist here in Denver, but yes I am familiar with Dr. Levine's skills. If this Uro does not believe in being proactive, I'll likely fly to Chicago to see Levine or SF to see Dr. Lue. I'm hoping they'll prescribe pentox and be open to the idea of traction / VED.

Thanks for the suggestion on the traction device! It is greatly appreciated.

I am not saying that you won't get any benefit from pentox, but it was worthless for me and only gave me pounding headaches, which is common.
