New plaque formation.
« on: September 07, 2016, 04:00:40 AM »

Hi guys,

So I am probably the youngest member of the forums, at 17. I can't confirm I have Peyronie's but I am 99.9%.
Anyway, I haven't really done much about it due to external factors however, a plaque has appeared on the right underside of my penis. Now, the only thing that could allow this to occur would be masturbation (specific grip and bias towards one side maybe). However, over the last few weeks it does not seem as prominent. Quite interesting really.
Thought I'd share that with you all as I'm not really sure what that must mean - could masturbation have been the cause of my Peyronies? I'm unsure.

Suggest you abstain for a week or so and then check on suspected plaque, has it diminished?

Has your penis changed at all in its shape or firmness, and do you have any pain? You would be extremely unlucky to have peyronies at your age

Masturbation may have caused you symptoms, have you considered a fleshlight at all, as long as you can maintain an erection such a device can help minimise further injuries as the pressure on your penis will be evened out, always use a waterbased lubricant when masturbating.

You may have lymph vessel or vascular inflammation. These appear as bands or rings under the glans and on both sides. They can get massive and can be confused as scar tissue.

That being said, you are not the youngest here. The youngest I know is/was 14, I think his username is Jrael or something similar (can't check now sorry buddy!). I also started getting Peyronie's symptoms at 18 or so, so it's not uncommon. I truly wish I took it seriously sooner, so learn everything you can and be gentle! Can you give us a better description of your symptoms?

.I'm really quite unsure. I did abstain for a week like you said and the band, which I thought was plaque is not as prominent as it was. I'm almost certain of a plaque on the top side of my penis under my glans causing an upwards curve. That's pretty hard now and probably calcified. Interestingly, I recall a small band under my glans very early, like when I was 13-14 and started to masturbate. I thought nothing of it but sure enough it has clearly grown and hardened and as a result I have an upwards curvature. It's difficult to tell if masturbation is the cause as when I masturbate it is usually lying down and that automatically brings my penis closer to my stomach almost encouraging a curve - don't think Peyronies works like that though

Another interesting thing I have observed is when I use lubricant (which I hardly ever do) the plaque gets a lot more prominent. As in it literally bulges and is a lot more raised and perceptible to touch. Only when I use lube - water based lube btw. Maybe it's because lube makes me harder which I cannot confirm. I can also say I've had an issue with ejaculating for a while where I couldn't "shoot" like I used to. This has affected my peeing as well, however it has got a lot better and when I ejaculate I either tend to contract the muscles as a result of trying to contract them to last longer - something I came across a while ago which I regret seeing and almost restriction ejaculation however this has become either involuntary or when I ejaculate I seem to get harder, like the muscles are contracting involuntarily. So maybe I'm not hard enough in the first place, maybe I have Erectile Dysfunction as well. Something to ponder. At the end of the day I need to see a specialist and I'm just so apprehensive in approaching this whole situation. I just said to myself I'll leave school and then have the freedom to get it checked out and then hopefully cured by advancements in technology. All of that relies on me being hopeful because its not that far away from when I move out.

If masturbation caused Peyeronies I think many more men would have it.   ;-)

I mean I suppose so, but I haven't really done anything else... And a plaque, at least I think a plaque has formed. I just don't really know what to do about this whole situation.
