Dear readers and members of this forum.

Between my first post back in November 2015 about the surgery I had and today, so many things happened. But I have waited for this particular day to come back to this forum and update you on my case, hoping that it will give other men with Peyronies Disease or CC hope and assurance.

10 Years of Congenital Curvature

What's really nasty about congenital curvature is the fact that you are born with it and at some point after puberty you start to believe that it's part of who you are. There is no pre-curvature and you are not used at all to the feel of having a straight normal penis. But when I became 24, I decided to do something about it. I was sick of being in humiliating situations or coming up with silly excuses to avoid having sex. Sometimes, I even stopped masturbating because the penis looked pathetic and under a lot of pressure. So I did a quick Google search to locate the nearest urologists in my town and this was the biggest mistake I've made since I was born: I didn't spend enough time asking about the best urologists or comparing their methods.

Grafting Surgery

I had my first appointment in October and it was with one of the published urologists who was supposed to have 3 decades of experience with Peyronie's. He recommended Nesbit at the beginning and after I expressed my concern with this technique he replied "fine, we will do a grafting surgery". It sounded like a good idea since I was going to keep my length. I have to mention at this point that no ultrasound or test was performed, he just induced an artificial erection and looked at my penis.

I didn't want to involve family or friends as I considered this as a very private matter so I went to the surgery alone. I was scared but at the same time hopeful that after I wake up, all of the sadness that the curvature caused would go away. After 2 hours, I was surprised that the surgeon who operated me was not the one I've met when I had the appointment. I didn't want to freak out so I listened to his instructions and was discharged. I came back the following day and the day after it to have the bandage changed.

Residual Curvature

1 or 2 weeks after the surgery I started getting erections again. I was getting some during the night which were painful but I got used to the pain. The Dr also prescribed Cialis and the JES Extender which was nothing but a modern torture device for the penis. Once I got an erection and run to the bathroom to have a look and it was as curved as the ones I was getting for the past 10 years. Wait, did I just waste 8,500 euros for nothing? I was shocked, sad and literally considered suicide at that very moment. This was 2 weeks before my travel to see my girlfriend who was expecting sex but didn't know what I went through. I called the Dr and sent him the pictures and his answer was "it's a hematoma and you shouldn't freak out. Give it a month max and it will go". He is a Dr so I believed him but deep inside, I knew that there was something wrong. At this point, I started to spend more time on this forum which I wish I knew about before the surgery. I waited for the hematoma to go away and it eventually did but by the time I was ready to travel it was still there. I was so stressed and I knew that my penis wasn't going to be ready for the encounter.

A failed intercourse attempt

I didn't know what the Dr was thinking when he said that I could still attempt intercourse but be careful. I still don't know why I did it. Maybe I was stressed and had something to prove to my girlfriend, or maybe I thought that I would be so aroused that a spectacular erection would emerge. Anyway, I tried getting an erection to penetrate and after 45min of foreplay, my penis was soft and not hard enough to have intercourse. That's when I realized that I should talk to my girlfriend about it and get some stress off my shoulder. I did and she turned out to be the most supportive, caring and mature girl I've met. She wanted to know all the details and she wanted to be involved. Believe it or not, one of the reasons we are stronger today is actually what happened that day.

There is always a solution

The holiday was over and I came back to my town. It was time to find another Dr and start believing again. The forum and the members here started to become my best friends that I've never met. After weeks of reading and sorting the posts, I started to notice how most of the patients were referring Dr Kuehhas as a good surgeon. Looking at my still-curved penis and what I already went through, I didn't mind another surgery at all. So I looked him up and found the contact details of his clinic in London. I picked up the phone got his assistant. She told me that he would call me back in a bit.

The way Dr Kuehhas spoke to me, listened to my story and made it clear that there is always something that we can do gave me hope. He was calm, friendly, nice, listening and he seemed to understand the situation even without seeing my penis. He also made it clear that he can only make a recommendation after he sees me in person in Vienna. I booked my flight and got the next available appointment. From where I live to Vienna, I paid around 500 euros for flight + hotel + the fees of the consultation.

I met with Dr Kuehhas in Vienna in March 2016 and he did 2 ultrasound tests and examined the penis carefully. The treatment of the staff and Dr gave were comforting and the consultation was actually more of a getaway than a trip to see a doctor in a foreign country. At the end of the appointment, Dr Kuehhas confirmed that there was a residual curvature, a lot of scar tissue that was caused by the hematoma and a significant psychological trauma that caused post surgery ED. But he said that everything should be treatable if we consider STAGE to correct the surgery and engage in post-op physiotherapy. I wasn't concerned and I told him that I am in for the second surgery but I just need a couple of weeks to have the money and request a leave from my company.

STAGE Surgery to correct residual curvature

I came back in April to have the corrective surgery and I have to emphasize on two things that helped me later on get over the shock caused by the first experience:

- The clinic staff in Vienna were super friendly and caring. They made me feel at home and their treatment was exceptional
- The pre- during- and post-surgery followups of Dr Kuehhas made the entire experience positive.

On the day of the surgery, the Dr came to me an hour earlier and explained everything that will happen during the operation. He also stated that he was going to be the only one who will operate. I also had a quick chat with the anaesthesia Dr who was assuring and nice. After I woke up, the staff members were there and they told me that everything went fine and that I can go to another room where I can relax and watch TV. I also remember meeting a member from this forum who was having a post-surgery check up with Dr Kuehhas but I forgot his name as I was high.

I stayed in Vienna for 3 days and every morning I saw the Dr who was also whatsapping me every 3 or 4 hours and asking me for pictures. When we were changing the bandages, the Dr mentioned that because the first surgery went wrong, he found two indentations caused by the narrowing of the graft, which should have been properly modulated after the surgery. He also said that we can overcome this if we engage in 1 year of physiotherapy using the Phallosan Forte. On the last day, we chatted for almost an hour and he said that it takes more than just surgery to get a straight penis. We also need to be positive, let the past behind us and start a new chapter in our lives. We need the support of our partners and we need to understand that the road to full recovery is long and requires patience and dedication.

2 month post surgery: straight penis

I was on Androcur for 21 days after the surgery. These tablets stop erections and mess up with the testosterone levels in your body. So for 21 days + 3 weeks, I was moody, stressed, sensitive and very anxious. I bugged the Dr with so many messages on Whats App but he was always available and nice in his answers, he kept on emphasizing on the need to stay calm, patient and positive as long as we don't have a strong erection. At the same time, I was also pumping using a vacuum device I bought from Vienna every day for 30 minutes (as per the Dr's recommendation and the forum's protocol) and wearing the Phallosan before going to bed. On the 2nd week of July, I saw my first straight and complete erection and that was probably the happiest moment of my life. I was so stressed and overwhelmed that the erection went away quickly after I saw it. But who cares. I was extremely happy and that was the end of en era for me. I texted the Dr who said that this was only the beginning and we need to engage in therapy to counterpart the results of the first surgery. So far, the phallosan + Vacuum pump DID help me gain some length and girth. In fact, you can feel the positive effects of VED days after you start using it. It make the blood circulate easier resulting in better erections every day.

To other members: don't lose hope

It's unfair to read this form everyday when I was struggling and not update the members now that the problem was solved. This is why I came back. I wanted everyone out there who is in a similar situation or who thinks that his penis cannot be straight to start believing. There is always something to do, and there are great surgeons/urologists out there who will help you start a new chapter in your life. The first step is to find one, and all the credit goes to this forum for showing me the right one. Here are some things that I learned and that I would like everyone to keep in mind:

- Do your homework. Ask, read, Google, call, filter the surgeons, gather testimonials, do anything you can before deciding on the Dr that will treat your Peyronies Disease or CC. Don't make the same mistake I made at the beginning
- You have one penis and it deserves the best treatment. Therefore, I would rather spend a lot of money on it and get a good result from a trusted surgeon than cutting the costs and not solving the problem.
- Sex can wait. Focus on your penis and how to fix it. Once it's fixed, everything else will follow.
- Don't be obsessed with size. Seriously. There is a lot more to sex and pleasure than 1 or 2 cm of your penis.
- The mind plays dirty games on you, so don't let your pessimistic side tell you that you can't solve your problem or that you have ED or end up with a curved penis forever. Be stronger than your negative thoughts and nightmares.
- Find support. It's not easy to talk about your bent penis to anyone. But you know what? carrying the weight with the help of someone else will help you recover quickly. I was lucky to have a supportive GF and in case your partner is not supportive, then maybe you don't deserve them.
- The more you think about the problem, the worst it gets. Find a solution, follow the recommendations of your Dr and move on with your life. I resumed work and became more hardworking than before, I also started learning how to play an instrument and now I don't think about my penis as I used to do in the past. As a result, erections are getting better every day.

I am not done yet, I still have 9 months of Phallosan + Pumping and there are indentations that I need to fill. I will probably have  intercourse when I will travel in October and I am a bit stressed about how it will go. But the Dr recommended Cialis 10mg for the first 2 or 3 times to build confidence which was destroyed with I went through so far. I also have some questions for the members who might be able to provide answers:

1. How do you guys cope with the Phallosan? It starts getting annoying and uncomfortable 45min to 1 hour after I start wearing it
2. How long before I can see some improvements in the intended tunica? My case is different. The VED is not meant to fill indentations caused by the plaque, but the grafted tunica instead
3. I will use Cialis 10mg for my first 2 or 3 intercourses. How can I move away from it and not depend on it?
4. I am anxious about premature ejaculation when I will be trying intercourse. Is it just anxiety? any experience with overcoming PE after surgery.

Thank you to the people who created this forum and to everyone who helped during my journey, all the credits go to you. I am more than happy to provide any extra details, just PM me.

Arkibald

Thank you for posting your story! This is gold.

Regarding Phallosan: I spread a bit of Helosan skin cream over the glans, before fitting the suction cup. The silicone sleeves get a talc powder treatment every 2-3 days, which is good against irritated skin. In addition to this, I have modified a JES type extender to accomodate a Phallosan suction cup (see one of my few other posts). The combo is comfy, and I wear it during sleep - clocking up to 7h per night.

Scorpion;

The key to this is patience. I know that you want to 'get back in the saddle' as soon as possible, but you've undergone radical surgery on a very delicate part of your anatomy. Yes, you can attempt sex after 6-8 weeks, but it will not feel the same. The true healing from this surgery is months, not weeks.

You finally found the right surgeon in Franklin Kuehhas!  He operated on me in London last November - The Egydio technique. It's taken 9 months, but I'm now about 90+% back to what I was. And, my penis is perfectly straight from a very severe curvature.

The Phallosan. Again, perseverance is the key. I agree with you, it's nowhere near as confortable to wear as claimed. I'm still using it now, trying to get back the 1-1.5cm that I'm down on length. I can manage 3 hours or more, but need to change sides every hour or so. It's a matter of getting used to it. It's very necessary to prevent retraction of the grafted tissue.

You will obviously be nervous about having sex with your 'new' dick, that's normal. It's a matter of having an understanding partner who's going to help you get that confidence back. Although, I must say that I noticed what seemed to be a sharp increase in sensation after surgery.

Cialis will help you get and maintain an erection, assuming you have no ED problems. Take it for  as long as you think it's necessary, or as long as Franklin tells you to.

hey scorpion22
thank you for this update and summary of your journey. it is extremely valuable. as you said, this forum helps us all. your story and the stories of many other guys have led me to dr kuehhas. My Peyronies surgery is due this week...

may i ask you if you had any pain after your surgeries?

Jonbinspain

Pdrury;

Good luck.

Follow exactly what Franklin tells you and you should be fine.

Personally, I had very little pain after the surgery. Although my dick looked like it had been run over!  It will look pretty horrible immediately afterwards, be prepared for that.

scorpion22

Pdrury,

Please relax, it will go fine and you will have good results. To be honest, I don't remember feeling any pain after the surgery. The Dr and the nurses gave me pain killers during the 3 days that followed the surgery. In addition, I was prescribed Androcur by Dr Kuehhas which killed erections for almost 4 weeks to ensure the healing of the penis. Expect some minor erections at night which could wake you up but they are not very painful. I think the most painful part was when the Dr changed my bandage the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day after the surgery and that's it.

Relax, trust the Dr and follow his recommendations. You will be fine.

scorpion22

Arkibald,

Thanks for your advice I will try to adjust the Phallosan and maximize the wearing time.

Jonbinspain,

I DO remember talking to you in one of the posts about my first failed surgery and you mentioned Dr Kuehhas, I think that's when I started doing research. Thanks a lot for that.
Noted on the Phallosan and Cialis. For Cialis, Franklin wasn't going to prescribe it in the beginning but after I spoke to him about my lack of confidence and anxiety about the first intercourse he recommended it for the first 2 or 3 times until I build my confidence then we can refrain from it.

I also have to add that fortunately, I didn't lose a lot of length between the 1st and the 2nd surgery, but I will use traction + pump for 12 months to counterpart an indentation in the graft + workout my penis. I find this combination of Phallosan + pump magical, it makes my penis feel and look healhy and flexible.

krazylord

Hi scorpion,

what tension are you using with phallosan? Middle green? All the way till the end of the green? Just a bit of green?

Thanks a good luck!

scorpion22

Hi Krazylord,

I'm still using the middle green. It all depends on how you feel. Don't stretch too much but at the same time, apply some pressure on your penis. But always remember to start slow to avoid and injury. Good luck.
