Hello,

I had a Nesbit procedure carried out one year ago. I think something is wrong because it doesn't look like it healed properly. I can still feel the stitches on the left side of the penis, while on the right side they are gone. On the left side, I can feel some of the stitches 'poking out', creating small bumps under the skin and a week ago it got swollen. Also, my penis is now a little bit curved to the left, although it was straight after the surgery.

I went to my GP and he sent a referral to the hospital that I had the surgery at, but it takes between 1 and 2 months to get an appointment there. I also cannot afford to go to a private clinic. What can I do? Thank you.

If you can't afford a private clinic, then I suggest you take advantage of the referral and at least say what they suggest.

Nesbit is an outdated procedure as it produces a lot of scarring compared to others..
31 yrs old
Severe congenital curvature. 3 straightening surgeries
Big lump/stitch w/ left deviation after 2012 surgery
Severe ED after last one in 2014. Still crooked
Slightly improved w/ shockwave therapy
Looks like only one side of my penis works

its a known fact its the most safest and simplest procedure for correcting, i dont see alot of scars on mine, tho

legion1234 -- What's your status?

I'm at the end of week 6 after having the Nesbit plication surgery. I'm very glad I had the surgery. This weekend my wife and I will be christening the new me. I have some anxiety, but not founded on anything other than normal stupid male ego stuff, hehe. It promises to be an exciting weekend.

Nesbit is a fantastic procedure for congenital curve. However, finding a Male Sexual Health specialist is step 1. Doing one's own part after the surgery is step 2. Both are equal contributors to success.

In my case, the cavernosa on the right was shorter than on the left, ultimately leaving me with a 50 degree curve to the right.

If you want to compare your experience with mine, I posted my diary here:  https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,7707.0.html    (Caution: opens in the surgery board with pictures)

Also, you said:  "I can feel some of the stitches 'poking out', creating small bumps under the skin..."
Would you mind clarifying with the use of standard lingo so I understand what you're experiencing: The process of making your dick straight uses "plications" or "tucks" on the long side(s). "Stitches" are used to close two edges of skin or tissue, e.g. the cut line on the outer skin of the shaft is stitched together at the end of the surgery to reattach the shaft skin to the prepuce (if you had the degloving process -- which I did).

You probably know where the plications are placed that made your dick straight. Are you saying the plications are the small bumps? Or, are you saying that some actual stitches (where two edges of tissue were sewn together) are the bumps?

Were you able to have the follow up appointment? What did your doctor say?

Regards,

John
