Hi guys,
I'm taking Pentox 400mg x3 a day since 27/1/16 and in the last 2-3 days I started to feel severe itch, burning & hot feeling in my scalp along with a few sores and than my face also started to get very hot, dry and a bit red. I have a history with 'Seborrheic dermatitis', but the only time I really got it very bad was when I was 16yo and now I'm 29. I read that Pentox can make Hot flushes, Allergic reaction, immune system disorders. so I'm might facing some kind of 'Seborrheic dermatitis' escalation due to immune system depression.
Does any of you experienced such a severe symptoms? do you know if sun exposure is bad for Pentox users? I think that the sun might have a role in here because I recently exposed myself maybe too much to the sun even though I applied 50spf cream. (my skin is very sensitive)

Thanks in advance for your help guys.
I appreciate that.

Proposing you to stop Pentox immediately and see what happening. It is weakening the immune system so take a rest.

Thanks for your rapid reply James!
Do you heard of those symptoms or maybe experienced them on your own? I was scared to totally quit the drug because I didn't want to ruin the treatment but this sudden symptoms really hit me bad. I couldn't contact my Uro because he's abroad and my appointment with him is only at the end of this month.
I'll do a break with this drug for a least a week and I hope things will get better. I think I notice an improvements with "heating feeling" on the between pills times so I hope it's from the pills.

Thanks again James for your super-quick response.
Daniel.

Experienced itching and hot flushing but not because of Pentox so it is not connected to your symptoms PDSuffer.
A short brake from Pentox will not make big difference.
Sun will make also some symptoms like that, I can't be in the sun for more than 20 minutes :)

For how long should I stop Pentox to know if it's the culprit?
I actually have other things that may triggered those nasty symptoms but Pentox seems to be the cause.
By chance you heard about other users reporting similar side effects due to Pentox?

Thanks James.

Try to stop Pentox for a week and see what happening.
Maybe you should see a doctor to find out what is the reason for those symptoms.

Thanks you very much James.
I really appreciate your help. 4 days passed since I stopped Pentox and I've maybe a slight improvement. I hope that Pentox didn't caused my skin to flare up with some disease like Seborrheic dermatitis or Rosacea.
I talked with my Uro who prescribed me Pentox and he told me to lower the pill to x1 a day. I'll wait a few more days to see if I've further improvement on my skin and decide what to do next.

Have a great day ;)

My experience with Pentox was very good
Not connected to Peyronies:
* Had always red face with the small veins of blue and red, they all gone during the Pentox intake
* Had always small veins on may legs and feet, they all gone while on Pentox. To the level that some of my friend in my age asked me what I am doing to have my legs and feet looks so young ;D
So yes, you may reduce the daily Pentox and see the results

Hey guys,
Just letting you all know that I'm doing ok, almost all side effects I mentioned subsided. I guess that the strong blood flow given by Pentox made me feel that way. this pill is pretty harsh for some people like me apparently. I'm still off the pill(hoping that I'm not damaging my peyronie's condition furthermore), but I probably will return to the drug after my Uro appointment because I want his advice on the new dosages. I also notice that the drug gives me constipations(at least at 400mg x3 a day), I think it's a good thing that I stopped for a week+ after almost 1.5 months of usage because now I know what this drug doing to my body. as I been prescribed to take Pentox for up to 6 months I think the least is to know how this drug affects the body.

PDSuffer,

Are you one hundred percent certain that you are having an allergic reaction to the Pentox, which is possible? Have you ever had red and dry type skin before taking Pentox. Skin conditions like this can be caused by a gluten intolerance. An elimination diet could help identify this.

ComeBacKid

I'm up to three pills a day, huge improvement in my condition, penis is soft not hard, straighter, fuller, and just feels like it's healing, the hardness is getting less, before it felt like  cast around it.  I to get constipation, you have to drink a lot of water, it will help ease this, or take fiber pills or gummies.  I read that you can up it to 4,5, and even 6 pills, I've pushed it to 4, but I get intense irritability and can't sleep well, and feel tired all the time.  I will try to push to 5 pills per day but not past that, try to stay at 3 as long as you can, they say 6 months, this medicine def. works though, this isn't a fluke, the only downside, is after you stop taking it, the peyronies slowly comes back over months and years, this drug blocks your body from attacking itself, but when your off it, the body goes back to attacking the healthy tissue, its not a cure, but def a good fix until they find a more permanent cure.

Hey QuickAttack,
"Quate: Have you ever had red and dry type skin before taking Pentox"
I've a history with Seborrheic Dermatitis. the disease first breakout when I was around 16yo when almost all other kids had acne. it was "cured" with accutane. since than I've a minor flaking(face), dandruff & red patches sometimes in the face. this symptoms usually happens to me in the winter times. after a 1.5 months of using Pentox I started to get all kind of scary reaction on my face, neck and scalp. now I'm more than a week off the drug and things comes back to normal. I really hate prescription drugs, my body is super sensitive to all those poisons. I'm 98% sure that I got the sides from this drug man.
Regarding my very mild SD(if anyone interested): I currently eating garlic(pure) and drinking turmeric(pure powder) x3 a week+ drinking a lot of mineral water. my face and scalp is almost 100% clear. the power of nature ;)

Thanks QuickAttack for your concern man.

Comebackid,
Thanks for your tips man.
Really appreciate it.

PDSuffer,

Look up a doctor named Dr. Joel Wallach and gluten intolerance. Based on what I hear Dr. Wallach saying all the time, you may have a gluten intolerance which causes malabsorption and may have exasperated what was going on with your skin. I know I used to get dry cracking behind my ears, found out I have a GI, stopped the gluten, no more problems unless I get glutened.

PDSuffer

Hey QuickAttack,
Thanks for this info.
I did a Celiac blood test a few months ago & it returned negative, but it doesn't means that I don't have gluten sensitivity you're right. I also heard that if I didn't ate gluten close to blood test it might show false results. well I don't really remember what I ate a few hours before the blood test , but I might check myself again.
As for the weird skin condition I was having while on Pentox, well I think the increased blood blow somehow interrupt the normal skin tissue behaviour or maybe Pentox triggered some autoimmune issue.
See the following sides of Pentox's which connected to what I'd with my skin(reported at the clinical trials):
a.Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling)
b.Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Reddening of skin
c.Immune system disorders
(Taken from: Side Effects of Trental (Pentoxifylline) Drug Center - RxList)

It all came like a destructive breakout of seborrheic dermatitis, I hard to believe that gluten is the culprit, because I still eating it and no more issues(almost completely cleared).
In Israel non-gluten food is very expensive, I tried non-gluten etc. before
& I wish I could continue with that to get off my mind the possibility that gluten doing me some bad things, but I can't really afford those products right now. gluten is also in almost every food nowadays so it is very difficult to stop it completely, but I'm trying my best to reduce gluten products.

Thanks for supporting me man.
I really appreciate your dedicated help. ;)

Pentox works very well, but it can cause red rashes on the skin and flushed or hot flashes, it goes away when you stop taking it, no big deal the stuff works well!

Njnist

Just adding in my own experiences. Pentox causes me to develop a small rash on the back of my right knee for some reason. I just keep using a good lotion to minimize it. I also can develop a bit of itchiness inside my elbows. When i don't take it they go away. I still take it though because I can deal with a little unpleasantness for the results!

Freemason

Ive been sitting on a RX of Pentox for half a year...exactly how is it working for you all? Did it reduce the curvature? Reduce scarring?  Only thing I care about right now is a straighter dick..that's it.

QuackAttack

Free,

I did 4 1/2 months of it. I think it's a complete waist of tie. Headaches are very common with Pentox and I will tell you that nothing has given me a headache more consistently or hard core than Pentox, not wine with sulfates, not dehydration headaches.

james1947

Like we are saying always:
With Peyronies, what works for one, not for sure works for someone else.
For me Pentox worked
