I got peyronies about 8 months ago, but wasn't diagnosed with it about 2 months ago. I had one plaque that got bigger, then went away, but left a large indent. The uro pulled at my penis and caused another plaque soon after in another location that has not went away yet. The first plaque took about 7 months to disappear completely.

Questions:

1. Is it a good sign that one of the plaques has gone away?
2. Now that it has gone away why am I still left with a indent/ bend and does this get better?
3. Should you abstain from any sexual activity?

I am seeing one of the top specialists in Peyronies next month and hope to find some more answers then.

For the first one to go away I applied heat packs, took coq10, fish oil, and gentle massage. I also drank a lot of water daily- 8-10 cups and drank a LOT of green juice daily.

How were your plaques diagnosed or located? Ultrasound?
It's hard to ever have definitive evidence of any plaque disappearing, but if you feel them to be gone or diminished, I'm sure this is a good thing.

At this point quality erections, VED, or traction can help remodel the penis and fill out dents.

If sexual activity is causing more deformity or pain, consider stopping for a while or altering the way you're going about it. Rest helped me a lot, and quality erections help me a lot. What makes things worse for me is too frequent sexual activity with low quality erections or not enough sexual activity. Find a good balance.

Drinking water itself lowers blood viscosity and keeps the prostate in a non irritated state, both of which should help the penis. It's a generally healthy thing as we all know but you're the first person to list it as a "treatment" I've seen and that makes me smile since I try to do this too, even if just for good measures. :)

So I just wanted to update you guys. I saw Dr. Levine...after having a US it was determined that where the first plaque had been there formed a small 2mm calcification...he thinks that my body will take care of it. The second plaque had not calcified at all...he recommended traction, amino acids and pentox. This was a month ago and I haven't been able to start a real treatment regimen yet besides the amino acids and continuing with my heat pack. I apply about 3 hours of heat a day to my penis and I also taped hand warmers to my underwear under my pants while I was at work. By doing this I was able to almost get ride of my second "lump" or scar tissue in about a month. The problem now is that I have developed a curve to the right...interestingly enough where my first plaque had formed that has started to sort of fill out and now as the second plaque is disappearing that is where the dent and curve has gotten worse. I am going to start traction next week and plan to use it 3-4 hours a day. I think heat has helped the most in making the plaque go away and I assumed that if the plaque was gone then my penis would automatically straighten...but NOPE. I have abstained from any sexual activity what so ever. Whenever I would masterbate even lightly the area where the plaque was would get sore and inflamed no matter now careful I was. I'm basically afraid to touch it. I will say. My hard flaccid have also went away completely. So basically my dick is almost back to normal...except for being deformed. It feels like a normal penis.

Hi,

I was diagnosed with peyronies about 3 months ago after finding a plaque which seemed to develop overnight after a slight dull ache a couple of days previous. I am taking 300mg coq10, flaxseed oil, and apply gentle massage with castor oil twice a day for six weeks so far. I have now started to apply castor oil heat packs as well. Curve is not too bad and the plaque has softened and feels squidgy, some days it feel smaller and some days the same, I think it has elongated very slightly. The worst thing for me is the indentation / hour glass which tends to hinge from side to side when erect. No pain to note yet. Just starting traction 5hrs a day and may do a bit of VED as well to try and alleviate the indents / hourglass.

Regards

Hey there interesting post,

I have been diagnosed for about 2 months now and have had curve and loss of length girth and base girth especially...the thing is though , i cannot feel these 'plaques' or nodules as they speak of ? What does this mean?

Arkibald

Hi Kobbraclutch,

Same here. I feel no nodules, no plague, ant yet the rock hard 90° curvature speaks for itself. I wonder if we can subdivide the peyronies disease into two main groups:

1) Fast progresssion (days/weeks). No plague or nodules that can be felt.
2) Slow progression (months). Palpable plaques.

Has anyone seen scientific papers that covers such a  subdivision?

Kobraclutch

Yes exactly!!!

It is very frustrating not knowing really what is going to happen next and what to do to stop what's going to happen next I'm hoping that nothing will follow after where I'm at right now. I can say this is my bend is getting more pronounced and now it is worse than it was maybe a month-and-a-half ago. It is weird because I don't have any plaques that everyone is talking about. Another thing that is weird is that when fully erect you cannot really see the curve. Also my girth on the left and base is always smaller when I masturbate more .

0.1. is edging bad ?? I have always masturbated like this?

For me some of the Curious questions I have are the following:

1. masturbation, should I keep masturbation every day or limit it down or stop. I know everyone says erections are good, and I'm guessing that the peniw gets erect anyways on its own but do I need to masturbate as well?
2. I know that every condition and case is different but for me I really don't know what to do besides the treatments listed here. I think that the mental part of this is the hardest for me being that I don't know if what I'm doing is helping or not but I also don't know if what I'm doing is going to prevent it from getting worse or not. I guess the uncertainty is really the killer for me. It has also been almost two years since I've had a girlfriend and a steady sex life so right now since I've had this for 3 months I really can't say that it's easy to just go out and be confident. I try to hide this invisible knife that stabbed into me but women can tell right away they can smell the fear and they almost dismiss you immediately. I guess I can also blame it partly my fault for feeling like I'm not good enough even though to be honest when erect my problem isn't as bad as others I think my curvature is probably only like less than 10% or 10 degrees I mean. What should I do other than the treatment should I stay away from marijuana and Other Drugs and painkillers or what?

Kobra,

Peyronie's is generally an interference with the Tunica which impairs erection.  This interference is normally scar tissue...called a plaque...and in advanced cases calcification.  The Tunica is the fiberous shell which determines penis size and shape when erect.  It is made of longitudinal (lengthwise) and radial (around the circle) fibers which don't really stretch in themselves.  When flacid (soft), it is relaxed a bit like a sock without a foot in it.  When erect, the swelling of the erectile tissue is bound by actual size/shape of the Tunica sleeve.  It is when the fibers are stuck together by scar tissue and/or calcification that size/shape are messed with.  This is classic Peyronie's, but other issues may be involved as well...which is why no single treatment works "best" for everyone.

Considering that Peyronie's is basically a fibrosis condition, consider Magnesium supplementation as deficiency is one common element of almost every fibrosis condition from pulmonary fibrosis to dupreyne's contracture.

On the positive side, if you are only 10 degree curved, you might actually be able to use it to your advantage.  If you have no pain during intercourse, and can maintain a solid erection, you should be fine.  By use it to your advantage I mean position so that the curve stimulates the "G" spot of the girl.  Caution, however...do NOT attempt to begin or continue intercourse with a less than rigid erection, as the risk of injury is pretty significant.  In fact, that is exactly how many of us get this condition to begin with.  This is where you have work to do on the psychology of it all.

krazylord

Kobra,

Are you saying that you have the curve or the deformation on flaccid and semi-rigid, but that once you get full erection it goes away?

Kobraclutch

Yes but it's not that black and white, what's happening is that the indention grew and it's bent toward the left and toward myself so it encompasses halfway around my shaft in a 3d view...imagine a pizza where someone took half the slices that's kind of what is the affected part...

When flacid it is noticeable like a small indention but even if I try and stretch my penis it is not as elastic as before...then when semi erect the affected area is not inflating like the rest of it so it looks like a banana with a dent where it curves....but when fully erect it is less noticeable almost not noticeable at all....I mean I can tell that it's shorter and I have lost about .4 of an inch of girth and the penis can't stay as hard that easily

I can explain better...right now this is the center of my attention in my life..I don't know what to do ...I don't know if anything is helping or this damn thing will keep progressing...

Does it have e anything to do with the fight of flight system of stress ?? I am taking pentox and colchezine...along with coq10 ...I just got a one cylinder VED and am still puzzled if I'm using it right ...don't want to do anything wrong and make this even worse...

I am just searching. For answers like everyone else...some days are really hard and grey but what can u do...tough at the age of 23 to have this...

Any advice helps thank u to anyone

Kobraclutch

Also thank u Kuaka for ur advise

Man I wish I could just mentally act like nothing is wrong but women smell it..  I just got used to a certain size of my penis and now it's more beating it mentally

In fact I bet that the depression is what stops alot of people from success...because...when u have anxiety and you are depressed then ur body is in "fight or flight mode" which makes it impossible if not much harder for ur cells to heal

I still don't understand if the body thinks that the fibrosis is a good thing or a bad thing? Like ...I think it knows that it's not finished because of the pain.... Just my guess

My condition started from over masturbation for about 8 months couple times a day and I also have masturbated a whole lot in my early years...porn..hot girl on the internet ..but in the 8 months I was depressed...I gained 40 lbs in 3 months (stress weight ) I was eating fast food as a drug along with masturbation to feel good..pot every day...no exercise..no sun exposure and along with no sun exposure no vitamin D ...along with the fact I have familial hypercholesterolemia...my testosterone was low and my cholesterol was 440...yes 440...all this was like a big bowl of crap that gave me this problem...

As soon as the sun came out I've lost 30 lbs now...feel much better.  But now I'm battling this...it's crazy how almost everything else in life that I was upset about is like vanished and really all it is now is this..

Treatment is

Pentox
Coq10
Colchezine
just got a VED still learning now to use it

Healthy diet as much as I can anti inflammatory diet

Hi
No turning back now only forward...I hope things will get better ...thinking of buying traction too...going to see Dr Levine in July he was booked till then and yea that's pretty much it...

It's crazy but at 23 the chances of me getting this is 1 in a 100....crazy crap

L'lysine man. It has changed my life and pulled me further from the fight or flight mode that I was constantly in. I was also suggest therapy and meditation(I use buddify app) to help deal with this. You need to not only attack peyronies from a dietary standpoint, medicine standpoint but also find peace in yourself as well. Work out, do cardio, get strong. I also hurt myself more using the traction device. Be careful with it. Luckily no new plaques just an increase in plaque size that was there and 5 days of heat has brought me back to where it was. Be careful. Take care.
