I had no sign of Peyronie's until after hernia surgery. The two things feel related, but whether they actually are or not I have no way of knowing. I was looking through the site to see how many others felt there was a connection.

Nodrog9,

If you have a way to prove your hernia surgery caused your Peyronies, you should get a good lawyer and get a malpractice suit going. Nobody should have to deal with this problem, especially somebody that puts their trust in a doctor, only to get jacked up by them.

Can you give us some more details regarding your Peyronies symptoms?
Some forum members may have some advice that may help you.

I also believe I developed peyronies from an inginual hernia repair surgery with mesh on my left side.  I developed my first symptoms from the disease right after my hernia surgery.  I had no issues up until that point.  The main source of my peyronies is by the base on my left side of my penis.  I truly believe there is scar tissue encompassing important nerves, blood vessels, and the spermatic cord that have restricted proper function leading to the cause of my peyronies.  I also think just inflammation from the surgery alone could of lead to scar tissue development that restricted the proper function.  When the proper vascular and nerve function becomes restricted, it maybe makes you more prone to peyronies development.  That is my thought anyway after spending years thinking about it.  Sometimes I wonder if taking the mesh out of my hernia repair could help alleviate my symptoms but that seems unlikely because the damage is done.  But I still think it might help some.

This is absolutely fascinating and worth research. I feel as if I have hernias from using VED, but strangely I feel like whatever it is that causes the pain I have in the inguinal area is related to my Peyronie's, and was related before the VED injury. It's as if something there is short or constricting on my penis.

It is very interesting to read this.  I over pumped earlier this year and it caused my hernia on the left side.  I had
open inguinal hernia surgery with mesh about a month after the incident.  My unit has shrunken substantially over the last 8 months and its hard to know if it was from the over pumping or the hernia surgery.  Im assuming it was from the former since I had a lot of pain after my over pumping incident.  Blood low is definitely impeded to my unit and as a result it is shrinking and has lost girth.  Just wanted to chime in after reading this thread.  Its an interesting theory that the hernia surgery caused the Peyronies. If you say it did, you're probably right.  Makes me wonder if the hernia surgery and the trauma combined to give me my symptoms.

Some of us are predisposed to VED injury from a lower or more open inguinal area. Use the small insert if this is the case.

What are the not established guidelines regarding VED NeoV?
Maybe we can establish them
