My Experience with Surgery

I had surgery on 9/4. I met with him again on 9/9. It has been a bit scary, but for the first time in over a year, my penis looks straight. Sure it is still swollen at the head and the incision is still fresh, but I had a semi erection and I was shorter, but at least not curved like a street sign any more. My penis hurts still, the doctor said it will get better and come back in 4 weeks. How long was it before you got all the way hard. Mine hurt at semi-hard, but I had to see it.
I would like to get it hard completely, but I am afraid I might mess something up. I called my doctor on Friday, hopefully I will hear from him Monday.
Did you get your penis hard soon afterwards?
I think I read you had your surgery 1 month ago.
Any suggestions from anyone on what to do or expect.
I started with about 8", prior to the curve to the left
Then it was about 7", I am happy it's not bent like it was, but don't want to do anything that will damage it.
Thanks.

Today is better, I still have pain mostly around the stitches from time to time, but yes better each day. I don't see my physician until the 2nd week of October. I have a few erections, but still afraid to do any pulling or tugging, as my surgeon said DON'T.
I am anxious about it, horny as hell, but still trying to wait it out.
I am glad I found the surgeon I did and I am looking forward to trying it out soon.
Hmm, thought about posting a picture too, my Peyronies gave me a 90 degree turn to the left. So it appears to be fairly straight now, shorter, but appears almost straight. It still looks like a frankestein "weiner", as the scar and stitches are still very pronounced, but I can accept it. I am learning to like my penis again, LOL.

thought Id share my experience. 60 degree curvature, had nesbit and circumcision as recomended by surgeon procedure december 2011.big mistake, glans has been desensitised and constant discomfort and pain due to uretha rubbing on underwear, still have small curvature. worst of all I am impotent ! tried viagra, cialis, levitra and a vaccum pump, all failed. Have now seen 3 uroligists with no positive outcome
would advise anyone considering this surgery to seriously reconsider. I have gained no advantage from this operation. no sex life before and no sex life after, just discomfort.  >:( >:(

I would call it tragedy, rather than discomfort. Nesbit is a killer surgery, but most of the outcome depends on doctor skills. The problem is 99.9% of Nesbit surgeries is done by unqualified incapable surgeons.

And it is sold as candy...one of many swindles produced by medicine.

I'm in the same condition as you, I can understand.

Severe congenital curvature. 3 straightening surgeries
Big lump/stitch w/ left deviation after 2012 surgery
Severe ED after last one in 2014. Still crooked
Slightly improved w/ shockwave therapy
Looks like only one side of my penis works

Moreover, circumcision is a swindle too. A crazy removal of thousand of nerves just because Americans say circumcision is good. And the rest of the world follows them.

Nesbit sounds like a procedure from the dark ages.

Yes, it's a bad procedure but I still believe that what makes the difference are the surgeon skills.

Whilst a surgeon can make a difference, the Nesbitt procedure is still surgery from the dark ages.

It's far more invasive, which greatly increases the risk of post operative ED,  leaves many with significant penile shortening, and recurrence of curvature is estimated to be as high as 25%

Well, it's been 4 months since my surgery. I have been having sex for 2 months. Its a mixed bag. My penis is shorter, but as my surgeon said he felt even with some shortness loss, I would be ok. My wife says she likes my penis. She said it is more comfortable and she actually enjoys it more. Hmm. As for me, I miss my old penis without the curve. I had a nice length and a nice girth. Now it is shorter, has some hard lumps in it and not as thick. It's hard for me to masturbate, because it does not feel like my old penis. BUT, it is better than my curved penis. My wife said it hurt, I had a hard time F^@$!ng her, as I knew it hurt her. My penis curved at almost 90 degrees and it had a hinge on the weak side that made F^@$!ng difficult too.
The hinge effect is gone and because my penis is not as thick as it was. The head of my penis has always been big, and now with the decrease in width, my wife says she has more sensitivity. I do know when I F~@<, I seem to feel the head more than before.
I still take Viagra and sometimes I use a cock ring to keep me hard. Sometime I will place a ring around my balls too for added stimulation. I guess because I am older, I need to change things up to keep it hard.
One thing I have definitely noticed which is different, is that once I cum, my penis deflates more quickly than ever before. I don't understand this exactly, and I haven't researched it, but this definitely is a big change from before.
The scar is gone from the top of the penis, but on the underside of the penis it seems to be more evident and it is thick. The underside seems to become a little irritated sometimes by my underwear. I seem to have started an underwear fetish trying to find the perfect underwear that holds my "new penis" comfortably. Vaseline jelly seems to keep it less irritated too, but I will discuss this with the surgeon. The silkier underwear with a pouch seems to help the most, but sometimes very tight bikinis are good too. I am still searching.
When my penis is hard, the underside of scar feels more like a ridge. Perhaps this excites my wife more. I haven't discussed this with her.
I am glad I had the surgery. I visit the surgeon tomorrow for my last follow up. It has been a difficult road, and as I said I miss my old long thick penis and I know I will never get it back, but definitely more happy than my former penis that was 90 degrees and hinged.
As one surgeon told me, when men are young, we fall in love with our penis. We may have different partners in our life, marriages, etc., but we always count on our penis for "feeling good". We love our penis. Sadly, something happens to our penis, and it won't bring us joy anymore. We suffer a loss. It's very hard to accept. Then a surgeon tries to make it better, and it's all about trying to fall in love again. It will never be the same, but hopefully it will be better than before.
I picked this surgeon after interviewing 5 different ones. He was not my first choice, but he was my number 2 choice and I think he did a good job. Yes, it is all about the surgeon!!!
Not sure if this helps anyone, I know my writing is a bit fragmented, but hope this might help someone.

It was like 6 months for me before the ridge you are referring too went away. Now everything is completely soft (no ridges) and you can't tell where the scar was at all.
