Experiences with acupuncture/Chinese Medicine

Hello everyone. So currently I'm in the process of trying to actually get a Western doctor to diagnose me. In the mean time I'm stocking up on the recommended non-prescription supplements and will have to wait until I move to London in 2 weeks and then I will register to a new GP and get on their case straight away to get me to a urologist.

Anyway, also, I have booked an appointment with a Chinese doctor who has 30+ years experience in Chinese medicine and he has also worked in Western hospitals too; so this bloke knows his onions. Now I know that he isn't going to give me a miracle cure, I'm not that naive. But I would just like to hear about anyone else's experiences with acupuncture here? I guess at worst it will help me get out of my depressive and anxious state that my genital issues have caused me this last month.
