Hey guys, I just got back from the andrologist in Dublin so thought I'd give an update. Some interesting stuff. :

After a physical examinaton, a lot of questions and a look at the pictures:-

He linked the start of my problems to an episode when I took just over 20mg of cialis (first time every trying it, for recreational purposes. Did not know it would be that strong).

I did not experience any pain but I had lots of sex and an erection lasting a few hours which did become a bit uncomfortable after a while until it went down.

It was in the weeks and months following this that the indentation, curvature and narrowing of the left side occurred.

He said that there were no lumps or obvious plaques when he examined me, but that my penis had a hardness to it that he was familiar with as he used to specialize in treating priapisms and sometimes guys who had priapisms ended up with this hard flaccid, and in some rare cases they have presented with curvature such as mine.

So he says I do not have peyronies, but that priapism caused something similiar to happen my penis, with the left side becoming tougher and not filling with as much blood as the right, curving to the left and causing the slight narrowing and indentations I experienced.

He also says that he does not expect it to worsen further (provided I avoid priapisms) but also that it will not get better.

Also :

-I asked him about the weakspot in the bottom left which ached after I had sex the last time last september and he said that the pain I experienced will not make my condition worse and that it is good to have normal sex etc to workout the penis.

-He says I may get problems with erections at a younger age than other men because of the fact that blood is already having a tough time getting into the left chambers due to what happened, when or if this time comes cialis will help but probably not as much as i took that one time.

-I said to him "As this is not peyronies, am I to take it that none of the peyronies treatments such as pentox would be any use to me?"
And he replied that these treatments would not be useful in my particular case. (He also says he prefers Potaba over Pentox, I know many here would argue otherwise).

Hi,
I sent you a PM, not sure if it actually sent.
I am going through something very similar.

Thanks for the update, it's good to hear the opinion of your andrologist. I have a similar issue with narrowing although mine was due to an injury. I sometimes have a slightly hard flaccid too.

My approach at the moment is to take anything which is said to help the blood vessels e.g. Ubiquinol (or CoQ10), acetyl-l-carnitine, citrulline malate, fish oil (omega-3), grape seed extract, magnesium, zinc, vitamin b complex, vitamin d3, vitamin e. However, I am not sure if they are helping so I may cut some of these out due to the cost.

Have you looked into the hard flaccid condition? There are people out there who claim to have cured this with therapies aimed at relaxing the pelvic floor.

I  actually had about the same thing happen  to me but with Viagra.. I has a little pill bottle that I carry with some Aleve and few other pills. I had forgot I had a Viagra pill in my little med. bottle. My back had been bothering me that day.  So I open my med . bottle and took what though was two Aleve. Started feeling bad felt I coming down with something so I lay down ... about  hr. the pain in penis was so bad .it woke me up... never had pain like that. I had on fairly tight jeans  . what had happen my penis was trying to fully  extend but couldn't because of my jeans and underwear..  it was actually  was bending in my jeans. ones I realize what  was going I pull my jeans down and got my mess loosen up. The  pain slowly went   away. but about a month later the dr. told me  I had peyronies that was Nov. 2011

Personally, I'd get on Pentox anyway. Peyronie's can present with different symptoms for different men, and it's not always an easy diagnosis to make. I'm no doctor, but it sounds to me like you may very well have Peyronie's.

If nothing else, Pentox will increase the blood flow throughout your member, and potentially heal you over time. It's not without side effects, but as drugs go, Pentox is very benign (and actually may have some interesting health benefits).

Has anyone else had a diagnosis like this and if so is there any cure!!

Hi guys, sorry I didn't see any of these replies before. I know it was two years ago but I must have left at some point and not checked.

Another update:

Pizzaman, I went to see an andrologist at the International Andrology clinic in London last year and he told me that it was peyronies, even though he couldn't locate an obvious plaque. I will go back there at some point for an ultrasound for further diagnosis and to see what if any treatments might benefit me. (I had intended getting ultrasound here but have been on waiting list for over a year now and can't contact the urologist i saw last time).

So whether its called peyronies or not who cares. I had an almost straight penis, now I don't. Simples.

Seftreat-

Thanks for update! As you haven't posted in a couple of years, can you tell us- has your physical condition changed since you last posted? Worsened at all? More curvature or narrowing, or generally the same. Has your sex life remained relatively Normal? Any updates would be appreciated!! Hope you're doing well

Two years later but just checking in again and saw this.

So I never ended up going for the ultrasound or going back to London, although maybe I should.

The condition has remained stable since my last post. Sometimes/often I have very weak erection which cialis is effective for (not in the high doses that caused the internal injury).

I have not tried any consistent every day oral therapy because of cost and because of Irish doctors knowing nothing about peyronies and not being willing to prescribe a year's supply of anything (cialis/pentox). Though given that I am well past the acute phase I'm not sure how helpful they would be.

I tried traction for a while which felt good until I had an injury bending down to pick something up while it was in my pants. This took over a month to heal and I haven't tried again since.

My sexual performance I think is still worse than when my penis was straight. I avoid woman on top positions which once were the easiest way for a woman to get off with me.

I was always below average thickness (4 inches around, average is 4.8) and now with the curve, though it's not severe at all and I can have sex, it does not reach as deep. 5. 5/5.6 inches instead of the 6 inches it once reached to.

This is tough, because I am not even thirty yet and I am single. Getting a girl in the first place takes effort, and so far I feel when I have been successful my performance has not been sufficient for them to want to see me again. This is tough to take and has forced me to avoid having any emotions/feelings for women in a dating sense as much as possible, in order to avoid getting hurt after they reject me.

As I said, my condition has been stable since my last post. At times a sickening curl has returned to the flaccid which has worried me greatly, but this has so far always resolved itself within a day or two and went back to normal.

My plan regarding it for now is to possibly try traction again, hopefully avoid injury this time. I would really love to be reaching six inches on the ruler again, whether this is possible for me I don't know.
I may also try again to get prescribed a year of low dose cialis and see how it goes. I can't see any urologist where I live agreeing to prescribe pentox so cialis is probably my best bet.

Even expensive and late, I am proposing you to make the treatment of VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis.
* VED 2* 15 minutes or 1*30 minutes daily. Pump to the level you have no pain or discomfort.
* 3*Pentox 400 mg a day, always with meal, the last not less than 3 hours before going to bed.
* Cialis 10 mg or 20 mg, cut in 4 to reduce price (2.5 or 5 mg dosage) every second day.

I started 3 years after Peyronies onset at the age of 65, still this therapy helped.
Send me a PM if you want some additional details.

James

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
