Hello gentlemen,

I'm a 56 year old male in Chicago who has just been diagnosed with Chordee.  I know this is slightly different from Peyronie's and I hope I can make this post on here anyway.  My doctor is Dr. Laurence Levine in Chicago.  I'm extremely lucky to have him.  He suggested I wear the US Physiomed Traction device for 3 months before my surgery which is September 24, 2015. Today is my first day wearing it for 15 minute "stretches" (OK pun intended).  My penis lays sideways was flaccid and curves downward and 55 degrees to the right when erect.  My question is about the device.  When first using it, did any of the members have trouble getting your foreskin caught when securing the device. Also, has anyone else had trouble fasting the tubes into the grooves on the underside of the device.  I feel a bit ridiculous asking these question, but I'm hoping someone on here can provide some practical advice.

Thanks

Jon

Nothing ridiculous about asking.  I don't have experience with that device, so I cannot help.  Someone here might though.

Moved your topic here, I hope some members with better experience than mine will jump in with some advice.
Regarding the specific traction device you are talking about, after a google search and some pictures, I don't see any difference between it and other devices I know.

Thanks.  I thought I had a better handle on it last night, but tonight seems difficult again.  I guess with time.

My home made device has what appears to be an advantage over the store bought ones.  Since the length is directly related to the wing nuts on the long screws, I can "strap in" with little to no "stretching"...get the best "fit" I can then extend it.  In an "improved" design, I would make the cradle shaped to allow for some springs on the tension without making the "starting" position too extended...This would reduce the probability of injury in the even I move while using it.  I think a "better" design is in the works...

I made a mod to my device so I strap into the head piece and then attach the headpiece to the tension bars. It lets me strap in without being under any tension, which makes it much much easier to get a good fit.

jonkchicago I also have the usphysiomed device and I can completely relate to what you said. It's not a ridiculous question at all. I also get my foreskin caught in it and by far the biggest struggle has been getting the tubes to stay in the grooves on the underside. However, I have found it very helpful to warm the cradle under warm water before putting it on. I also usually run the tube under the warm water too. What I've found strange is I feel absolutely no pulling or stretching when wearing device. I also don't feel fatigue after. This makes me wonder if it's doing anything. How about you?

peyroniessufferer,

It sounds like we have similar issues.  I too had lots of trouble getting the tubes to stay in the grooves underneath.  They were too big or too stiff.  After using them for a while, I now can get them to stay in if I pull really tight.  But will try your suggestion about the warm water.

Like you I don't feel pulling or stretching or fatigue afterwards.  But I think it is helping somewhat.  When I have noticed an erection, it appears a bit less curved.  But I have not been good about wearing it at least 2 hours a day.  Lately, have been able to get some 4 hour days in.  I'm using it more as a preventative measure for length loss.

The video the manufacturer sends shows a man with a very nice sized normal looking penis putting on the device.  Kind of ironic.

How long have you been wearing yours and for about how long a day?

peyroniessufferer

jonkchicago,

I stopped wearing mine about a week ago, maybe a little bit longer. I stopped because I felt it wasn't doing anything and a couple days after I noticed that I have what appears to be an injury. I suddenly have a ton of trouble getting erections and I seem to have lost sensitivity/sensation, therefore making it very difficult to maintain an erection. I am wondering if I did nerve or tissue damage. I don't know how it happened but I'm guessing maybe from strapping my penis down too tightly. Or putting too much extension on. I'm not sure.

As for how long I was wearing it... In the beginning probably about 2 hours and then I was wearing it 3 and 4 hours. According to one of the best urologists in the country it is best to wear it at least 4 hours to see results. I know this because I had a consultation with him. Have you heard of anybody else having trouble with traction devices? And if they've injured themselves with one does it usually heal or is it permanent?

Thanks

Dr. Levine recommended this device to me a couple of months ago and he specifically said to never wear it for more than 2 hours at a time! You can wear it for more time but not without a break every 2 hours

peyroniessufferer,

Sorry I haven't responded sooner, I used to get a notification there was a post to my question but am not getting those anymore and not stopping by that often.

I am sorry to hear that you think you may have injured yourself.  For a couple of days, I thought I might have also as the head(glans) of my penis was a bit bluish.  So I took it easy.  It is true that you are not supposed to wear it for more than 2 hours at a time, take at least a 15 minute break and then again. I am trying 4  6 hours a day but only in 2 hours increments with a least an hour in between.

Call your urologist or PCP and tell them the symptoms.  I felt a bit of a loss of sensitivity but think I was losing some anyway before this.  I seem to be back to what I was before and can get erections.

I think it is good you stopped. Please call one of your doctors, probably the one who has you on the device and explain what is happening to you.  Please let me know.

I keep breaking the solid tubes that attach to the white plastic end piece, it fits through the soft part that fits around the head.  Anyone know of a replacement for this?

jonkchicago

Have you contacted the manufacturer?  Perhaps they will send new ones free or for a reduced price.  You got yours from the distributor in CA correct?

Supposedly.  I DID feel like I was getting a bit straighter and a wee bit of length before my surgery.  I am hoping to use it again after the doctor says I am healed and can use it.

It usually is NOT covered by insurance though.  $300.

I got replacement bands for my device.  I contacted Physio Med directly.  They do NOT accept credit/debit cards, they send you an invoice and after payment send you replacement parts.  I am just disappointed that I keep breaking the bands and at $30 for three, I can't find them anywhere else.

skunkworks

Could you show a pic of the part you keep breaking? I've used my fastsize since 2010 and never broken anything on it.
