Hi Guys,

I was diagnosed lately with Peyronie syndrom and believe I am currently in the acute phase.
I can feel a (growing) node and around and before the head of the penis (no curvature but pain while erecting).

After a bit of frustration where my doctors did adopt "a wait and see" approach, I finally obtained to get corticoid injection (altim product).

However, I did not find much litterature/feedback on this forum about this approach (whereas I read a lot about oral treatments such as Pentox, verapamil inject, VED ...).

Is there any interesting / postive feedback about the corticoid injection?
I am planning and asking Pentox as well (i am sure this will be a fight...) : is that ok to do both (corticoid + pentox) at the same time?

Any feedback, advice, experience is welcome.

Thanks,
R1.

I've been on this forum for 8 years and I have heard very little about corticoid shots for this.

A search on the forum main page will give you 6 posts including yours regarding corticoid.
You may want to read them.

Please let us know how the shot affects the progression of your disease. It would be very helpful.

Well actually because I read very little on this treatment, i will put it on hold for now and will prefer pentox and eventually verapamil shots.

I would be pretty leery about injecting something that is known to atrophy tissue into the corpus cavernosa or tunica.

We have aboard of Verapamil treatments here:
Verapamil - Injections & Topical Applications including Iontophoresis - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums
We have not too many success stories there, but we have many complains that Verapamil injections made the Peyronies worst.
You may want to concentrate on the board above before going to get those injections.

Thanks for the feedback, definitely helpful.

I'll start my pentox treatment for now next to L-Arginine.

In the last days, my penis started to slightly curve so I shall not waste time anymore...

Fingers crossed
