I've gathered taking 1, 400mg pentox a day at breakfast for a week, or until side effects clear is the best way to start. Then building to 2 a day, after a week. Then hopefully after another week with no side effects, taking a third at dinner. But what about the L-Arginine? The same routine starting with one 500mg at breakfast for a week? Been advised to take 3 in total like the pentox.

How beneficial is the low dose ED drug to both of these, do I really need it? Please remind me of dosage and frequency. Cialis or Viagra?

I don't know if I can manage an anti-inflammatory diet! I hope it's not too important? Will avoiding eating calcium really stop the plaques calcifying?

Age: 27
Weight: 120lbs
Height: 5'10''

Have 45 degree curve for 1 or 2 months.

Thank you for reading and helping.

Good approach to start Pentox, take always with meal, last not later than 6 PM.
You can start L-Arginine 3*500 mg per day strait away. Usually have no side effects.
Me and other members change it from L-Arginine to L-Citrulline Malate , acting better than L-Arginine 2*750 mg or 3*750 mg per day.
If you make some sport activity, more are advised, I didn't try yet.
Regarding daily ED drug, we are talking about Cialis. If you have ED, 5 mg per day (cutting 20 mg in 4 to reduce price), if you don't have ED, 2.5 mg per day(cutting 10 mg in 4). The reason to take Cialis together with Pentox is that have evidences (also forum testimonies) that contributing to Pentox in plaques softening. I am taking 5 mg before bad. Using Viagra for intercourse, as I have ED also.

Personally I don't think so, other members may think different. I can't manage anti inflammatory diet also.

I do have ED also, takes about 8 minutes to get hard enough for intercourse, naturally. Not tried with a drug yet. When do you change from L-Arginine to L-Citrulline Malate?, this is a new drug and new bit of information to me.

What if I awake later? 6p.m. for an 11p.m. bedtime?

When I realized that L-Arginine was not helping me. L-Citrulline Malate as L-Arginine are supplements, not medications, not new.

Better don't take the third Pentox, but up to you if you don't have side effects.

Thanks for your continued help James. Taking the pentox now.

Well I am going into Town tomorrow to buy 3 months worth of L-Arginine from Holland and Barrett, as you cannot get L-Arginine on prescription in Britain, only L-Arginine solution, not sure of its effectiveness?

I am going to buy a multi vitamin bottle and a vitamin e one too, hope all these vitamins don't do anything negative, was worried about stopping and starting all sorts of drugs and vitamins, anyone know if this is a bad thing?

Any vitamins too avoid?

Could someone list all the alternatives to L-Arginine also, and their effectiveness also, please. Thank you. This would be really helpful.

L-Citrulline Malate is substitute for L-Arginine.
Make a search for L-Citrulline Malate on the forum main page, you will find detailed explanation on the subject.

Pressure;

Firstly, Citrulline Malate is the better option - you can read why on the forum, or the net. Secondly, don't waste your money at Holland & Barrett. It's far cheaper by miles to buy both Citrulline Malate & ALC in powder form. Both easily dissolve in water.

I agree with the others. I started with l-arginine from Holland & Barrett and didn't notice any effect. I am now taking citrulline malate 2:1 from bulkpowders.co.uk and I think it is much better and cheaper. They sell acetyl-l-carnitine too plus vitamins/minerals etc. Use referral code RE172094 for £5 off your first order over £15. Also worth checking out peaksupps.com although I have never used them and they don't do acetyl-l-carnitine.

I have bought some vitamins from zipvit.co.uk - again, cheaper than H&B.

By the way, where are you getting your pentox and who is prescribing it? I thought it was hard to find a doctor who is willing.

Okay chaps, thanks for all the help and tips, sorry but I've been a bit busy to type a response I am happy with. Though I did check for your replies promptly.

Is the powder as easy to use as the tablets?

Well here is my new regime:

(Currently eat 2 meals a day, might eat 3 when I start the 3rd pentox)

These pills half way through 1st meal, pentoxifylline 400mg, CoQ10 100mg, a multi vitamin with iron (I avoided one with calcium in it, though it has no vitamin k, now that bothers me), L-Arginine 500mg (was taking 2 a meal, but just read it can lower testosterone, so I will lower it just now, still confused on which Citrulline or L-Citrulline, to buy, or the Malate version), Vitamin e natural E-400 I.U., omega 3 fish oil 1000mg.

Then these half way through 2nd meal, pentoxifylline 400mg, CoQ10 100mg, L-Arginine 500mg, omega 3 fish oil 1000mg

Still no ED drug yet, hope it won't make too much difference?

How would rate my lineup?

And in order of best and most effective first, would it be the pentox, then CoQ10, then the L-Arginine, ... ?

The powder is fairly easy to use but a bit more time consuming than the tablets. The ones I have bought have come with a scoop and the instructions say "use a slightly heaped scoop" which isn't totally accurate I suppose. The acetyl-l-carnitine tends to absorb moisture slightly so towards the end of the 100g it gets a little sticky but it's ok. I think they taste fine in water as well.

I believe the citrulline malate is better absorbed by the body but the original research used l-citrulline. They said 1.5 grams of l-citrulline gave positive results in ED patients. So that means you need 2.5 to 3.0 grams of citrulline malate in order to get the 1.5 grams of citrulline since the malate version is a mixture of the 2 compounds.

I think what you are taking sounds good although the other members will know better. I have started taking zinc and magnesium as well lately but I don't know if it is worth it.

Pressure

Good point, slightly inaccurate measurements with the powder may be a negative thing. And the extra work load, I'd imagine I would pre mix powder solutions ready to drink? I fill a seven day pill organiser box for ease with the tablets.

Well I have learned an interesting point about the Citrulline. Might not bother with the Malate version.

Recently been recommended to start on Finasteride 5mg (for benign prostatic hyperplasia) one a day, but read it could make Peyronie's worse. Does anyone know if leaving an enlarged prostate without treatment would do anything negative?

Here is my expertise regarding enlarged prostate:
The reason the urologists want to treat enlarged prostate is because in some cases will develop and became cancerous.
* Used Finasteride, it made me severe ED, stopped, ED disappeared gradually in 3 months. Also started to grow new black hair (had reddish brown originally), after 6 years still growing. ED is stated as one of the main side effects.
* The accident that started my Peyronies was 6 weeks after stopped Finasteride, may have some contribution, but is just a guess.
* Used FlowMax for reducing my urinating problems, didn't helped at all.
* I used Combodart 0.5/0.4 even my PSA was very low because it may shrink the prostate also. It halved my PSA from 0.35 to 0.181 in 6 months but didn't helped with my acute urinating problems. The Combodart suppose to cut the PSA in half every 6 months. My friend was at 84 and now is on 2.
* The end of the story was 6 months ago when I had a prostate surgery, I can urinate now like a 18 year old young man. ;D
The prostate surgery was a cut around the urethrae to release the closure the prostate was making.

Ah, interesting story James, though I hope your prostate surgery didn't affect your penile dimensions. As I've heard it can. Especially as yours was through the urethra.

I am 27, and it would seem watchful waiting of my prostate is the best option. It would seem there's no working drug without bad side effects.

How bad was your urinating problems?
Age early thirties, peyronies 4.5 years

james1947

I had to urinate every 20, 30 minutes, the need to urinate extremely strong, but urinating always just little bit.
Never emptying the bladder. This is the reason that my bladder before the surgery was double the size than normal.
The doctor told me that it will shrink slowly slowly, but will remain always oversize.
The cut from the prostate was around the urethrae, no damage to the nerves, no worst ED than before.
