Hi everyone,

I recently started dating a man whom I like very much, we have been intimate and he explained to me about his Peyronies disease, He has been dealing with this for a short amount of time 6-8 months and he is currently using oral meds as treatment to see if that will be effective.

I am new to the disease and know nothing about it, I have been doing research online but as you all know the best information will come from those who deal with it day in and day out.

This has no barring on my feelings for this man but it is bothersome for him, enough that he made sure to write down what it was so that I could read up on it, he wanted me to know that it was not my fault that he could not get the erection. This is a very kind man.

So I am here to learn, I need to learn the hows and whys, I would like to find out what has worked and what hasn't, I want to know the pros and cons of things that have been tried. I want to be able to share the information with him.

It will be nice meeting you all and thank you in advance for your help.  :)

I think this forum is the best on the web for Peyronies knowledge (not because I am moderator here :) )
The reason is that this forum members are here to share they problems and find solutions. We are not promoting anyone.
Start reading from here:
Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums
We have also a Ladies only room. Write a PM to Christine or  LWillisjr to get access.
By the way, your man is very lucky to have you beside him. Many of us didn't have/had such a luxury.

Hello James

I have been scouring this site all day I have been to the survival guide page and found that extremely informative, I actually will be giving my man the name of one of the specialist in our area that was listed within that page.

I have noticed that the posters here are all men or seem to be, is it okay that I am here posting and asking questions? should I only be in the Ladys only room? I certainly don't want to make anyone uncomfortable, and I have only posted this one thing so far because I wanted to make I should be here since I am a woman.

Members may not want to answer questions asked my a woman I had not thought of that I guess.  :-[

From time to time we have ladies on the forum, they are equal members to all the male members, can post, ask question, answer to any topic they will find right.
You may find many lady members, some of the feel not comfortable to talk to man, some may want to share more intimate things with other women, not with man.
Most ladies have posted on:
Introduce Yourself - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums
&
Women Speak Out about Peyronies Disease - PUBLIC Forum - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums
Again, you are free and feel comfortable to ask question, answer and post everywhere you wish. :)

Stabler;

I can only speak for myself, but sure, ask away anything you want to.

If your man knows what the problem is, am I right in assuming that he has seen a Urologist and been diagnosed?  It could be that he's seen one who's not that knowledgeable abou this disease. Many Uro's aren't, believe it or not!  Most of the ones listed here have been seen by one or more of our members.

As to his problems, depending upon the degree of curvature and if he has any pain, sex should still be possible with the help of a PDE5 inhinitor, such as Cialis. However, for many of us the problem is as much mental as physical. Don't underestimate just how hard this can hit a man psychologically. It strikes at the very heart of our manhood, and no guy wants to feel that he can't satisfy his lady. Hopefully, if you try to relax him. Assure him that it's not a problem, etc, he may well start to feel more comfortable and confident.

He really should read as much as can here before going to the Urologist.

I don't think that any man answering questions to a lady should be appreciated for that. :)
By the end, we all have a mother, many of us a sister (or more), many of us a daughter (or more).  :)
Some of us have even a wife or a girlfriend. :)
