Firstly a thank you for all your helpful information. I guess like a lot of suffers it helps to know that I am not alone and the subject is not one for idly chatting with friends over a meal.
I am 60 years old and happily married for 30+ years. I have a lot of the normal middle age health issues. High cholesterol ( under control with meds) High blood pressure ( ditto) Enlarged prostate (ditto). Not surprisingly I have also suffered from ED of progressive severity for about 10 years. This has responded fairly well to treatment with Cialis and my wife is very supportive. We have become adept at coping with partial erections.
From early 2014 I started to experience more than usual difficulty with penetration. I put this down to increasingly severe ED and after some months decided to increase my cialis dosage to assist.I delayed this due to side effects of headaches and indigestion.  It was at this time that my wife mentioned that, although I was hard, she could not get me in due to a very severe upward curve. It was only at this time that I started to examine myself and noticed the problem. I  felt a bit embarrassed that it had taken so long to come to light but I no longer get spontaneous erections and rely on meds plus my wife so by the time I am ready I am not examining myself.
Since mid 2014 I have been unable to achieve penetration as when I am firm enough the bend is too severe. If I don't use cialis  although the bend eases I remain quite soft so this does not work either .

I have yet to consult a specialist as the outlook for a resolution without surgery appears unlikely and I am not sure that I am ready for that. I cannot tie this problem in to any known trauma but I also appear to have the beginning of Depuytrens contracture in my hand so possibly this is genetic .

I would however be interested to hear from anyone who has had any success in resolving this problem and how this was achieved.

Proposing you to tear first (if you didn't read yet):
Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums
In addition, you may want to read on the boards of "Oral treatments", VED, Traction and Xiaflex what are the treatments other members are doing and they level of success.
Having a supportive wife is a gift from GOD (in my opinion), it helps a lot with this condition.

Cholesterol lowering drugs cause Peyronie's (statins). Get off them and treat your metabolic dysfunction as soon as possible.

If you are to continue taking statins and driving up your small density LDL with carbohydrates, take CoQ10 or Uniquiniol ASAP to mitigate the damage. Cholesterol is not the issue, it's remnant cholesterol or verity small density LDL, which you need a VAP test for. Insulin resistance is the cause of high remnant cholesterol, not diety fat or cholesterol. Statins are very dangerous drugs and cause a large number of cases of Peyronie's here on the forums, but "I am not your doctor."

Educate yourself on hyperinsulinemia and cholesterol and statins as soon as possible.
