Lumps on Glans After VED

Before I start, I'll just say that these symptoms disappeared after a day or so, but they concerned me nonetheless and scared me out of using my VED for a while.

One evening last week after what I considered a normal pumping session, I discovered that my glans appeared misshapen when flaccid.  On closer inspection, I found two large pale lumps on the head that were soft to the touch.  They almost looked like large blisters.  I panicked a little and feared the worst; had I over-pumped?  Naturally I didn't use the VED the following day, and discovered to my great relief that the lumps had almost disappeared.  The following day I couldn't see any trace of them, but decided the safest thing was to take a break from pumping for at least a few days.  It was a scary sight for someone as new to VEDs as I am.

So what were these lumps?  I thought they may have been fluid retention, I read horror stories about oedema and feared I had done permanent damage.  It appears not to be the case, but I'd appreciate any advice, especially as I did not experience any discomfort while pumping and didn't feel I'd over-pumped at the time.

Something else I've noticed rarely is that the part of the shaft below the glans sometimes appears thicker than the rest, and it's not a gradual increase to this extra level of girth; it's like a subtle ridge.  Is this the "doughnut" effect I've read about?

Anyway, I'm extra-cautious with my pumping now, and don't take the pressure beyond -5 in Hg even though more is often quite comfortable.

Thanks in advance.

What you are describing happened to me in the past. Even you feel comfortable, the vacuum may be too much and you have to reduce it if continuing with VED therapy.
You have done the right thing to stop VED for a few days and when starting again reducing the pressure.

Thanks James, I will remain cautious when pumping.  As comfort level doesn't seem to be an effective early warning, I guess I will pay more attention to the pressure gauge and size of erection.

Hey TYFP,

I'm 23 and have had this problem for over two years now. I have these white dots that swell after pumping on the right side of the penis on the foreskin. I'm unsure if they were there before or were caused by the pumping. I know there are little white dots under the head of most penises as there are many forums listing that issue. However, you said these look like blisters and are on the head itself. It's really hard to picture it without seeing it.

I seriously doubt you did any permanent damage. I one suffered a purple and red spot and after extensive research I found that people have popped whole blood vessels and still came out fine (F^@% if I know how that worked) but my penis was fine after giving it a break.

In fact, the quality of my erections improved the next day after using the VED so there was no permanent damage to my erection.

In short: You're more than likely fine, but a doctor would let you know for sure and it would be prudent to check with him/her.
