Has anyone heard of any treatment related to the use of Essential Oils or anything of that caliber?  I have a friend who has been preaching to me about all the things this stuff will do for you.  I personally feel like it is a placebo and pyramid scheme.  He also has talked about the use of cannabis oil.  Anyone have anything to add?

Thanks James... I tried using the search and it didn't seem to be working at the time.  I kept getting no results.  Thanks again.

Try search from the home page, it caught me out a few times.

I don't understand the zero results problem:
A search for oil on the alternative treatments board gives me 29 posts
A search for oil on the forum home page gives me 398 posts.

Jeepman,

I have been looking off and on for documented results with essential oils with Peyronies of even Duyputyens.

I have not found anything so far.

I have studies essential oils and used them with good success for other conditions.  If you get good quality oils they can be very powerful.
You have to be careful as you can get some negative reactions.

Relative to peyronies,  the only essential oil I have tried and got some good results with  inflammation and pain was German Chamomile.

I would stay away from Lavender as it is cytophylactic and may make things worse.  Cancer patients are advised to avoid it as it can make cancer cells  metastasize faster.

Be very careful if you choose to experiment as they may make things worse.

I would ask what kind of training this person has.  Most people selling essential oils in a multi level marketing company have only sales training, if any.  If this person is telling you to use the oils internally and topically undiluted then I would walk away from them.  That is a red flag that they have only sales training.
The MML companies sell their oils at high prices and often pre-blend them.   Once you blend an essential oil the clock is ticking on its self life.  The rule of thumb is one year after the oil is blended or mixed with an other essential oil or carrier oil.  As it ages it will still smell ok but it will lose its medicinal properties and you will not know it.

If someone out there has some knowledge of using essential oils relative to Peyronies please chime in.

If anyone wants to PM me relative to this topic feel free to.

James, I would get a search error when I search things.  Maybe it's my browser?  Idk... I really do not know what training this person has had.  I do know he uses caplets and such to take pills with items mixed(?).

It just really got me thinking about what was out there in this form.  I appreciate the feedback.  Thank you.

I made a search for "Essential oil", got 29 results, but non except yours are about "essential oil"
I don't know why your search is not working, but you will not find any useful answer anyway.
Hope somebody with experience in the subject will jump in.

Head Up

I can't comment on Essential oils for peyronies specifically but for other ailments they are fantastic, peppermint oil being one that comes to mind. Works better for curing a headache than any sort of oral medicine I've ever taken. I had a pounding headache maybe a month ago at work and had already taken some OTC stuff and nothing alleviated the symptoms. Rubbed some peppermint oil on my temples and put a dab on my palms followed by deep inhalation and poof!; the headache vanished within one minute. No joke. So there is some truth to their benefits but for peyronies one can only guess or learn through trial and error.

There is a lot of truth to the benefits of essential oils.  Your experience with peppermint is quite common.

Unfortunately there is not much if any documented experience with respect to Peyronies.   As I said below, I have had very good results using German Chamomile for inflammation and pain.   Very effective!  Beyond that I can't recommend anything with confidence.   Again I caution anyone who wants to experiment.   Oils have cell growth properties may cause placks to grow.
I am not saying this to scare anyone away I am only saying you need to understand what you are trying to do and proceed with caution.
If an essential oil ever causes an irritation you should remove it immediately with a straight carrier oil.  EO's are not water soluble.

I am a fan of essential oils because I've seen and felt the results when I started using it. I think it all goes down to which brand you'll use, in my case, it has always been Healing Solutions since day one.

Again relative to the scope of this website I have not seen any success with Essential oils other than as an anti-inflammatory.

EO's have great success in treating many other issues.  But don't get jaded by that success and think they can work for everything.  I agree the quality of the EO is critical.  I have never heard of brand you referenced but that does not mean the quality is not there.  In Europe oils can be certified by the HEBBD.  This is an independent body that confirms via specific gravity, and gas chromatography testing that the oil contains certain levels of the 3 top main constituents for that species of plant.   They also confirm the oil is not adulterated or extended.  According to Dr. Pappas of Indiana University 75% of the EO's on the market today are adulterated.  He has a lab where he tests them. The oils I  choose to use are HEBBD certified. You can get them here in the states.  You just have to look.
In the US there has been a bit of fad with EO's due to aggressive marketing by MLM companies.  This is both good and bad.  Good because it brings some awareness to EO's to folks who otherwise would never know about them.  Bad because these  MLM sales people often give bad and unsafe advice on how to use them.

I would recommend you use independently certified oils to be confident they are not adulterated.

With all that said I can not say there is an essential oil that may help improve Peyronies.  Maybe there is and It just has not yet been found and proven.

If anyone learns of any new credible data with the success of EO's please share it.
