I recently bought a "Size Matters" pump through Amazon (including a 1.75" tube) for $92. The tube is very nice.

The pump broke on the 3rd day of use. Upon examination it is obvious to anyone with the slightest knowledge of mechanical engineering that this pump should be the poster child for Planned Obsolescence.

All the physical and vacuum pressure that is developed is channeled through a tiny (less than 1/8") metal rod connected to the pump handle.

This device was specifically designed to fail, no question about it.

I could return this for a replacement from Amazon but why? I'd still have the same junk...

If anyone can suggest a better pump, please let me know.

I replaced my junk pump with this:

Hand Vacuum Pump: Science Lab Pumps: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Good quality and construction, works great and can't beat the price.

I wish you pneuro that this pump will do the job. :)
