Can the head be damaged?

I see a lot of posts on here about VED therapy causing damage to the shaft of the penis, but what about damage to the head? I'm talking about causing less sensation in the most sensitive part of the whole thing. I fear that I may have done that...or maybe it wasn't the VED that did it, but it seems to coincide with the time I was using it. Any knowledge or thoughts on this?

VED, traction and any other mechanical tool can cause damage to the glans (I suppose you mean glans when you are writing head) if not used properly.

I lost sensation in my glans from VED, and while it came back it still seems to happen after sexual activity. I think my case is mainly due to edema below the skin though.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Yes, James...I'm referring to the glans. I first started using a 3 cylinder system. They (the VED rep at my urologist's office) gave me a program to use for 26 weeks, switching out between the cylinders. I never made it to 26 weeks. The smallest cylinder was too small & I couldn't pump it the recommended number of times, but I still thought it would be good for the bend because it held it straight. Now I think that was a big mistake. The girth of my penis quickly filled up the circumference of the tube (I'm not bragging - it's really a pretty narrow tube) and I believe this created too much suction on the glans. I stopped using the small cylinder after just a few times, but I'm afraid the damage may have already been done. I remember feeling some pain in the glans & thinking "this can't be right". I wish I had known about this forum then. I eventually stopped using it altogether as I began to believe I was doing more harm than good. I keep hoping the sensation comes back, but it's been a few months now with not much improvement.

What else is in your therapy?
Do you take some oral medications?
Maybe low dose daily Cialis may increase your sensitivity?

The only oral thing my urologist had me taking was vitamin E. I was also taking CoQ10 on my own. I plan to start that again (CoQ10) after reading many posts on this forum. I took vit E for several months, but never noticed any difference from it. I also had a kidney transplant in 2013 and the docs are afraid of mixing many of the conventional meds (like pentox) as well as many herbal supplements with the transplant anti rejection drugs. He did suggest Viagra or Cialis for ED. I tried some Viagra with little success. Haven't tried the Cialis. Maybe I should. I kinda want to have my prostate examined anyway because I have a couple of symptoms that resemble an enlarged prostate. So far, they said they don't usually start checking prostates until a person is 50 yrs old and my PSA labs are perfect. But I know Cialis is used for that, too. I wasn't aware that it can increase sensation. That sounds hopeful.

That urologist also talked me into a full round of verapamil injections when I was first diagnosed. All that seemed to do was make my condition worse. It's also a miserable experience. I don't recommend those to anyone. I definitely have more plaque after taking all those injections.

Verapamil and/or vitamin E success stories are very rare from the forum experience.
As I have written before, you should try out low dose daily Cialis.
Be aware that Cialis, like any other ED drugs, reduces the blood pressure.
Regarding CoQ10, I didn't find your age in your profile and not on one of your post, but if you are over 40 or even close to that, you should replace it with Ubiquinol.
