Hi Guys,

Well, since my original diagnosis on 1/16 - I believe I am in acute phase without pain and thought I would provide an update on status, next steps and seek your all's input.

Basically, I'm part of an HMO in the US.  The first Uro basically said I'll see you in a year and we can explore invasive/surgical actions if required through email.  I cancelled that appt. and had an appt. with the chief of Uro last week.  In summary he examined me, said on a scale 1 – 10 with 10 being the worst you're a 3.  I'm taking that as 'good news'.  While he was not a big believer in Pentox, Cialis and supplements, VED multi-pronged approach he didn't oppose it and wrote me a script for Pentox, Cialis and a VED referral and said see you in six months.

So here I/we go on this journey.  I would like to share my current treatments, next steps and get your guy's input.
Current Treatment:

•   Pentox – 400 mg twice daily – I can already see increases in flaccid state
•   Fish Oil 1200 mg – 600 mg OMEA-3 fatty acids once daily
•   Men's Senior Multivitamin
•   Regular exercise and no more weekend cigars and alcohol – This really helps with the psychological part of this.

Next Steps – I want to introduce these one at a time, so I can identify the cause any side effects.

•    Cialis 5 mg Daily – My HMO doesn't over this – nearly feel down when they said it will be $472 for one month supply, I've requested an exception for coverage and we will see, but will most likely use River Pharmacy based on what I have seen these boards.

•   VED – I have been given a referral whatever that means, but would like your guys input.  I see there are one and three cylinder varieties  – what are the pro's/con's. Seems like a lot of info on the boards - is there a summary somewhere or anyone have a recommendation?

•   L-Arginine Complex – 400 mg, L-Glutamine 20 mg – 3 times a day?

•   Acetyl – L-Carnitine HCI – 400 mg with Lipocic Acid 200mg – 3 times a day?

I'm ready to devote myself to this for 6 months in hoping to stop this in its tracks and prayerfully be a success story and help to others as they face this.

Your input and feedback is appreciated!

Thanks - USAPD

PS. Dealing with the mental part of this better - still plenty of FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) but better.  Thank you all for your private PMs and support on these boards.

It takes some time and effort to answer you as don't have age in your profile and treatment may be different for different ages. After reading (again) all your posts I found that you are 50+~ yr old male.
If you can tolerate, increase to 3*400 mg Pentox per day.
I would recommend you starting to use VED (carefully, read the warnings on the subject). Write a PM to Old Man as he is the guru on the subject.
Regarding Cialis price, myself and others cut the 20 mg Cialis in 4. One pill of 20 mg cost me $3.2 if I buy 40, that gives 160 days of 5 mg with a price of 80 cent per day. I don't understand from where the
Quote$472 for one month supply
You may want to check out Ubiquinol (not CoQ10 as you are older than 40).
L-Arginine didn't helped me, but helps others, same about L-Carnitine.
Never tried L-Glutamine, Lipocic Acid, OMEA-3 and Fish Oil (detest the fishy taste), same for the multi-vitamin.
Healthy diet will help also. I quit smoking, reduced but not cut alcohol. After my prostate and bladder surgery 3 months ago, the urology professor told me that one or two glasses of wine or one or two beers will not make damage, will even help with the blood flow.

Definitely go the River Pharmacy route.  I just ordered a new supply (I cut 20mg pills into quarters, like James) and I think I paid $172 for 60 tabs.  That's about 8 months of daily doses, not to mention the round pills from India are WAY easier to cut into quarters than the teardrop shaped American Cialis. (Tip: stand the pills up on their end when you lower the razor cutter - they'll cut cleanly into that hard thin edge without crushing.)

James can you please elaborate on the above quote. I'm 33 and am looking to maybe switch up my supplement intake. Right now I'm taking l-arginine, but am debating on taking CoQ10 instead. How does age affect which supplement to take? I don't really want to be taking more than 4-5 supplements at one time. Right now they're are: 1) Cilais 5mg 2) l-arginine 3) pentox 4) and vit E. Any suggestions on what to swap out the l-arginine with that would be more effective? I recall reading somewhere about citrullin>arginine but need to educate myself more on these various supplements. Thanks for any help!

ETA: Not trying to hijack just mainly curious about the quote.
Double ETA: Just answered my question with a simple google search so nevermind. Whoops!

Thanks James and Nemo...

RE: $472 for one month supply of Cialis.  My HMO does not offer coverage for this.  This was what they were going to charge me for it - 30, 5mg tablets.  I've requested a review for coverage since this is a treatment - not recreational ;-).   I suspect I'll be going the River Pharmacy route.

Head up;
The difference is that what the body uses is Ubiquinol. If you take it directly, as Ubiquinol, it is obviously far more bio-available. CoQ10 is Ubiquinone, which the body must convert  into Ubiquinol to use it. Apparently, for the average male, once you are past the age of 40 it becomes more difficult for the body to do this. Therefore, Taking Ubiquinol directly is recommended.

If you have the money, I would recommend taking Ubiquinol anyway. Just for its far superior bio-availability. It is, however, quite a bit more expensive.

Read Jonbinspain explanation bellow regarding Ubiquinol/CoQ10.
Vitamin E will not harm, but we don't have evidence that it helps with Peyronies.
Regarding L - Citrulline vs L - Arginine, NeoV is the expert.
I just bought L-Citrulline Malate per his advice, will start taking it when will arrive to me, to the other side of the world.
