Title pretty much says it all. Some options float in my mind like the Nesbit procedure, but that wouldn't really help me seeing as I'm still under the 18 month acute phase? Theoretically speaking, I could quit traction cold turkey after 18 months and I shouldn't shrink anymore? I'm roughly 10 - 11 months now. I'm sure some have already read before, that I have quit once for a period of four months. I lost .5" for that in length. Luckily, my curvature isn't any worse than before. I'm doing traction again for 3 hours a day, but I guess it's just good to know if there's a safety net at some point. Maybe I would get the Nesbit procedure once my acute phase ends?

To your question Voltage:
QuoteSo Peyronies stops getting worse after 18 months right?
I have a clear answer:
Maybe yes ans maybe no. :(
Myself got "acute phase" a few times during 42 months. Even the disease will stop progressing after let's say 12 months, you don't have any guaranty it will not start progressing again without treatment.
By the way, your only treatment is traction?
And why you think about Nesbit and not exploring other surgery options? I am not against Nesbit, but have some other options out there.

It really depends on how your case of Peyronie's Disease develops. Everybody is different, and there are no definitive answers as far as this disease is concerned. There is no predicting the future.
Some men only have a single acute phase before progressing into the more stable chronic phase, whereas other men have an acute-chronic-acute-chronic cycle with no real end in sight. So to use an old saying - don't count your chickens before they hatch.

VED ended up hurting me. I must have pumped wrong, but I was so overly cautious about the whole procedure. One doesn't really know what it's supposed to look like when you pump the first time. I pumped and it would inflate, but not get hard. It would only reach lengths as if it were my semi-erect state. So I stopped, tried only one more time the next day, same results, nothing too crazy and I had noticeable extra skin. My peyronies kicked in or something. You could say I over pumped, but I was only pumping once every 10 seconds and I wouldn't pull the handle down all the way. Meh.

So yeah, I only do traction now. I take Pentox, Cialis and L-Arginine, but that's it. I'm more annoyed by this condition than anything. I'm not eligible for Xiaflex, so Nesbit sounds kind of nice. At least I would be straight again, better blood flow. Then I'd just increase my penis size with traction, (Probably a lot easier too, seeing as my Penis would be straight again).

Proposing you Voltage to give the traction, Pentox, Cialis and L-Arginine time to work before thinking about surgery.
Before going on the Nesbit, check out other surgeries options.
Why you are not eligible for Xiaflex? I forget if you posted the reason before.

Voltage, can you please describe how you proceeded to use the VED that lead to the impairment of your condition?  How many pumps per session?

You mentioned that you noticed extra skin?  Was this temporary and can you describe this extra skin?

Hey guys. I've continued to use traction. I actually found One position that's actually comfortable with the AndroPenis model. If you keep your penis standing upright against your stomach, while sitting in a desk chair the entire 3 hours, you'll barely feel a thing. It's amazing and changed my entire outlook on this whole disease. The pain I used to feel was excruciating. I've even gone up .5cm in rod size from my old top length! So to put it shortly, I'm not considering a surgery anymore, the pain was simply unbearable for even ten minutes at the time.

As far as VED goes, I STILL have extra skin. My penis trully shrank more than a 1/4" in just two sessions of VED. I'll never trust it again, especially after making new strides with traction. I pumped about 3 - 5 times a cycle and maybe 8 cycles for a period of 10 - 20 minutes. Every pump had a period of 5 - 10 seconds between each other. VED was truly the worst thing to happen to me, next to first getting the disease itself. Scary.

@James,

I don't qualify for Xiaflex, because my Uro told me I needed at least a 30 degree bend or more according to the FDA. Unfortunate for myself, he just recently had a patience who was cleared for Xiaflex and had amazing results. Almost a full recovery I was told. Good for him, but bad for me. lol

Each one have different problems while treating Peyronies.
Good that traction is helping you.
Myself, got improvements from VED, bad experience with traction. I will try again in the future.
You can't find an urologist to find your bend as 30 degree?
