Hello everyone,

I am Drew and I am 19 years old, turning 20 in 3 months.

I've been reading this forum off and on for the last couple of months due to what I suspect is peyronies. in August 2014 I had rough sex with my girlfriend (who is still with me today, and is supportive of the slight psychological problems this has caused) and hit her perineum, which caused instant pain in my penis shaft but no major buckling. Ever since then I have been having pains in my penis around the base and mid-shaft.

Visually, where the pain is in my penis, there is a darkened mark, with a thick 'noodle?' type lump that shrinks and grows that wraps around the shaft of my penis on one side (the left). The 'noodle' is visible while flaccid but also can disappear at times. It is the most apparent after ejaculation and when my pelvis feels more tense and after my ADD meds. It is less apparent when it is warm, relaxed, and flaccid.

I presented my symptoms to a urologist (December 2014) who did a hands-on penile exam, which was not long at all. He explained the 'noodle' could be peyronies and that I should see him in a year (December 2015), which would be around 16 months after my symptoms first appeared. He just said to take vitamin E and wait it out.

I did not tell him anything I knew about the disease, which looking back might have been a mistake because I wanted to see what he thought. (he said to take vitamin E but I have already been taking it for a while, see below)

I have no curvature in my erect penis and can have sex perfectly and have been having gentler sex. The area with the 'noodle' sretches out and is a bit sensitive and spongy to the touch. At times I do have an hour-glassing semi-erect penis with a slight hinge effect, but this is usually after a long masturbation session or while using my prescribed adderall medication (which causes vasoconstriction).

I work out occasionally and my symptoms do get a bit better when I run or slightly exercise.
I have not taken any measurements of my penis.

I am making an appointment with another urologist this coming week for another condition of mine (epididymitis) and will bring up my peyronies during that appointment also.

Since August I have taken
L-Argigine 3mg daily
Vitamin E 1000mg daily
and Ibuprofen for when the pain hurts a bit more (after long masturbation session, not as lubed sex)

I started taking this January
B-complex

I also recently ordered and will start taking them next week also
CoQ 10
L-citrullene

First, your decision to talk to an other urologist is the best you can do, preferable a Peyronies specialist.
The uro that told you to take vitamin E and come back after a year don't worth a second visit as he don't understand in Peyronies.
The supplements you are taking an will add are fine. Keep also regular exercises as it is improving the blood flow and you need it down bellow.
I was abstaining from long masturbation sessions at all. Use lube when masturbating and not long sessions.
Update us how was your appointment with the second urologist.

In my own personal experience stimulant drugs(like adderall, vyvanse, ritalin, cocaine, etc.) can have a very negative effect on the health of your penis and greatly increase the risk of damage and/or injury. I believe that my own problems now(slight curvature, hardness and hourglass when flaccid) was probably mostly caused by use and abuse of stimulant drugs combined with long and rough sex-sessions.

I would really recommend that you cease taking adderall or if you can't or refuse to, to completely abstain from sex while on adderall. You're young now and you can stop and prevent more future damage related to sex while on stimulant drugs.

If you continue on with sexual activity while on the drug make sure that you only have sex when you have a very hard erection. Which can be difficult or impossible on these drugs but if you reduce the amount of sex you're having your erections will become harder while your on the drug(but you'll need to have less sex to make sure that you have a very hard erection everytime).

As James  has said, find another Urologist. If it is Peyronies, waiting is the very worst thing you can do. Vit E is treatment from the dark ages. It won't harm you, but equally will do next to nothing to help if it's Peyronies.

You need an ultrasound scan in my opinion. That should give a better indication of what the problem is.

Yea finding a new uro is on the top of my list, and how would I go about beining up that I would like an ultrasound?

Brian
I take it adderall daily for school and I can feel myself more tense while taking and I will be more careful about sex and amphetamines in the future. Using lube is something my partner and I do anyway just for comfort, which is usually 3 times a week.

James
Thanks for the input and will update when I get an appointment time, which will be sometime this week.

You should consider dropping the adderall and taking herbal alternatives that will give u a similar psychoactive effect(increased focus, energy, mood elevation). One alternative for example is schisandra berries(increases blood flow to genitals, increases focus, elevates mood, is an all-around adaptogen plus probably the best liver-detoxifier there is). I use them daily, they're probably the healthiest berrie on the planet.

Take some ashwagandha as well.

Depending on why you're taking adderall will determine what herbs you should take as alternatives(90% of people prescribed stimulant medication like adderall probably shouldn't be on adderall).

Finally got an appointment for a urologist visit for next week!!!
As I said before though, my main concern is with my epidiymitis but I will bring up what my past urologist said about Peyronies.
I will ask for his recommendations and if he doesn't seem like a good fit I will either request a new doc or find a new one again.

I have also been taking these supplements for about a week

Coq 10 -200mg daily
ALCAR- 2g daily
L-Citrulline - 1.5g daily
Vitamin E - 1000 IU daily

and the pain in my penis pain has gone down a bit since last month.
(maybe they are working or maybe my Peyronies is changing?)

Ask the urologist about Pentox, low dose Cialis and VED.
Vitamin E will not make you any damage I think, but will not help with Peyronies.

drewmanfoo2:

The inflammation of the epydidymis(sic) gland can and will cause pain throughout your reproductive gland system.

I know first hand about this problem. Shortly after my last child was born in 1971, I had this gland removed from my left testicle. This operation alone solved much of my genital pain and over the years has really helped with penile pain. Even with several bouts of Peyronies Disease, that little gland no longer produced pain.

You should ask your uro on your next visit if this could be your problem.

I have really been reading up on VED and I would really like to try it and I know it will take a while so I will read more of the forum on the topic. As for the Pentox and Cialis I will make a definite case for both.

Old Man
The epididymitis has caused me problems for over 8 months now. Even with my young age, I have accepted that it may need to be removed to help ease the general discomfort of the area. Also the flare ups with the epididymis also coincide with general discomfort of kidney, perineum, penis, etc.

drewmanfoo2:

Based on your reply, I would highly recommend that you discuss removal of the little painful gland by your uro.

As I said in my earlier post my first hand experience with the operation makes a world of difference with removal of the worst pain I ever had in my genital area.

The little gland is really not needed since you have two of them do their job. One less will not affect their purpose.
